forgot to say that dh did corporate/enterprise law and works as a solicitor in that field. I think he missed his calling and should have done classics and become a professor for Roman history since he lectures on it endlessly at home.

NomDePlume · 23/05/2006 13:28

I did Theatre Studies and went on to work in the theatre/film/tv world for a while, now a writer having moved sideways to write about film/tv. Most others on my course are still involved in performing arts/entertainment in some way. Even if I hadn't, uni was such a brilliant thing, wonderful time, wonderful friends, well worth the debt.

Dh read Psychology and now works in retail (using his knowledge of the human psyche to make us buy more frocks...)

Marina - where did you do French and drama?

NomDePlume · 23/05/2006 13:41

Agree with Mrs Badger, there is something about the life sciences that keeps you hooked!

Albert · 23/05/2006 13:48

I studied Physical Geography (mainly soils), completly useless really - I only went for the social life Grin I work for the British Embassy in Brazil now and previous to that various United Nations agencies (WHO, UNDP & UNESCO). See I told you Geography is useless.

Dh did Agriculture and Ecomonics and has just got his MSc in...er..something to do with sustainable wotsits.
Works in all sorts of odd places in agricultural business development.

tamum · 23/05/2006 13:53

MrsBadger- dear god no, the thought of even being in the same department as dh brings me out in a cold sweat, let alone him being my boss :o Luckily we are in different faculties (well, more design than luck) and based on different campuses several miles apart. He's not really strictly a geneticist either, it's just his title! Just read that back and it sounds like I'm trying to avoid him- I'm not, just like to be independent :)

NomDePlume · 23/05/2006 13:54

lol @ tamum Grin.

tamum · 23/05/2006 13:57

I agree, this thread is really rivetting. We've done jobs before, but I think this is the first time we've seen how people got there!

moondog · 23/05/2006 13:58
