Welcome all- old and new- this is our fifty-something Healthy Eating thread, where we chat, support each other's ascent into vibrant slinkiness full of bright eyes and glorious glowing skin etc etc...

Post as much as you can, and you'll be sure to catch the gossip and the gamut of human emotion that make up the Shiney threads. They have grown from one woman's noble quest to ditch curly-wurlies for breakfast into a veritable Mumsnet phenomenon, which has actually seen some of us lose rather a lot of weight and get much healthier...

Not me- I am still trying to get there, and have a permanent cold, but hey, let's not split hairs: there are other regulars who are a positive inspiration! So jump in and find us again, or join us anew, and follow whatever approach suits you.

Would you believe me if I swore blind that on Sunday they were only showing two trains - one taking 6.5 hours and the other an eye-watering 11 odd? I even rechecked with National Rail Enquiries!

there is a new thread? where?

DreamsInBinary · 24/03/2010 22:55

It will be the same line

I think I'll get either the 8.25 or 8.25 from Cardiff, which get in at 11.59 or 12.59 respectively.

Were you thinking along similar lines?

DidEinsteinsMum · 24/03/2010 22:58

stress must be good for you, my trousers are becoming a major issue

DreamsInBinary · 24/03/2010 22:59

Definitely

Oh, I'm getting excited all over again

DidEinsteinsMum · 25/03/2010 03:39

I need an excuse and the time to be naughty and get up to mischief!

I need to complete my move forward from the ex situation and I need to sort out my sex life or lack of.

But you are all sleeping and really don't care. Hope they are good dreams!

NormaSknockers · 25/03/2010 06:15

Morning all

Cuppa anyone?

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 25/03/2010 06:41

Morning

I have woke up starving and slightly hungover (had 3 vodkas and d.lemo) was very good last night and sat and munched on a bag of french fries (1 pt) while my friend had nik naks (my fav ) and i even made her hot buttered toast and i didnt give in and have some

Shiney i dont know what to make of him, i think he was maybe just being a bloke, what did you say to him in your email? his reply was kinda weird shocking, why did he keep saying holy shit? are you definitely not going to meet him now?

dawntigga · 25/03/2010 06:57

Shiney is there any way you can get him checked out? Dunno could be overreaction on my part but something says this guy isn't what he seems - if you have constabulary type friends could they check him out for you on the QT.

Morning all,
Shiney, I'd say that email was the final nail in the coffin? "Boner", how very American Pie.

Full of PMT and knackered today. DS1 keeps waking extra early saying he feels ill. He is actually just hungry. I think he's going through a growth spurt, he had a big dinner last night and then a flapjack and some fruit bread just before bed and he still woke up ravenous!

Wonder where he gets his appetite from?

NormaSknockers · 25/03/2010 07:41

Shiney his reply made me go It's an odd reply to say the least....you'd think it would make him apologise not keep saying Holy Shit & talk about his boner

NormaSknockers · 25/03/2010 07:41

Which, by the way, I suspect is probably on the small side....

Lizzylou · 25/03/2010 07:54

I think your suspicions could be right, Norma

I am soooo bloated. Yuk.

Alicetheinvisible · 25/03/2010 08:32

Morning

DEM it is nice to see you popping in.

Norma - cup of tea would be lovely, thanks.

Vinny - which flavour NikNacks? Rib&saucy are my fave!

I am going to be a good mummy today and not get cross much My friend is coming over for an early lunch today, and her little boy is so quiet and doesn't do anything wrong, makes DD look feral.

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 25/03/2010 09:12

Alice they were rib&saucy i am very proud i didnt give in though

I am feeling lighter, this will be my 4th day of the diet, i am doing better than i thought i would

NormaSknockers · 25/03/2010 09:26

Vinny you doing WW online? You finding it ok?

Just got extra lean beef mince out the freezer, making Bolagnese Al Forno for dinner - yum!

Lizzylou · 25/03/2010 09:28

Yes i am doing WW online Norma, it is dead easy, just add food to tracker and it give you your points, i have been adding food before i eat it so i dont gove over iykwim?

And because i know i am paying for it, it is making me stick to it

NormaSknockers · 25/03/2010 09:58

I do it online too, used to go to the meetings but much prefer it online. The recipe builder comes in very handy too, makes it so much easier to plan a meal as I can see where to cut points out IYKWIM?

Alicetheinvisible · 25/03/2010 12:19

Why does nobody link to the new threads anymore? This one is easier to keep up with though
