Welcome all- old and new- this is our fifty-something Healthy Eating thread, where we chat, support each other's ascent into vibrant slinkiness full of bright eyes and glorious glowing skin etc etc...

Post as much as you can, and you'll be sure to catch the gossip and the gamut of human emotion that make up the Shiney threads. They have grown from one woman's noble quest to ditch curly-wurlies for breakfast into a veritable Mumsnet phenomenon, which has actually seen some of us lose rather a lot of weight and get much healthier...

Not me- I am still trying to get there, and have a permanent cold, but hey, let's not split hairs: there are other regulars who are a positive inspiration! So jump in and find us again, or join us anew, and follow whatever approach suits you.

I'll pick some up in town tomorrow Alice.

Shiney, how does that all sound compared to what you thought before?

DidEinsteinsMum · 24/03/2010 21:35

Yep spill, what is the virdict to that?

Shiney, have to say I wouldn't.

I'm feeling a bit crap tonight, sore throat and a bit tired so I'm going to bed (my life is wild, WILD, I tell ya!).

Have a good night everyone see you tomorrow.

YanknCock · 24/03/2010 21:45

Welcome, LBAM, there's always room for more! at the policeman!

Mitts, WTF! that guys sounds so disgusting, I can't believe he said that to you at the school gates! (or at all!) ewwwww!

BOF, pleased all is sorted with pouffegate.

iggi, I think that it's quite common to argue a lot just before the wedding. Lot of stress for everyone. We almost didn't get married because we decided to hand make our invitations together (not as wanky as it sounds, we were trying to keep costs down!)

bella, sounds horrible, hope your tooth feels better soon.

shiney, what is WRONG with him?? You say the naked photo request wasn't welcome, so he tells you about his 'boner'? Who the hell says 'boner' anymore anyway?! ARrrgghh. Idiot.

Alice, hope things have settled down now, sounds like a very stressful day.

Sazz, poo in the bath is not what you need at the end of the day, now is it?

Lizzy, yay money!

VT, good work planning what you'll have ahead. That really is the key to it for me as well!

DIB, I think the Eat Out WW book usually include whatever accompaniments are normally with the meal. So if it comes with chips you don't have to point those separately.

DEM, fingers crossed for you.

Fanny, sorry for the 1.5 back, but you can lose it again, you're getting good at this.

Jet/Sazz/MyCat, thanks for the inspiration....I hope to join your 50+ club one day!

Fleecy · 24/03/2010 21:46

Shiney - do you think it's possible that he's trying to compliment you but isn't very good at this sort of thing so puts it in laddish terms to make it jokey?

Maybe I'm being too nice! And maybe you wouldn't want to take a chance on someone who's emotionally stunted!

YanknCock · 24/03/2010 21:48

I have had 33 points today. We went to Pizza Hut for dinner but had individual pizzas and I checked the nutritional info before I went so I would know what to have.

'boner'

idiot.

I don't even know him but he has disappointed me greatly. I really liked the sound of him from his FB profile and now he says 'boner'. And makes shiney feel bad....don't like him anymore.

wastingaway · 24/03/2010 21:49

Shiney, he doesn't sound very socially sophisticated iyswim.
I don't see you being happy with such a 'blunt instrument'.

Not sure Sazz, worryingly thought it was the coffee earlier
The never ending flow of java finally taking it's toll.

YanknCock · 24/03/2010 21:51

why couldn't he have just left the last 5 sentences off? It was actually okay up until 'am I communicating properly?'

Or has he been sulking you and knows what you say on here?

TotalChaos · 24/03/2010 22:12

jet/cat/saz - well done on mega weight loss!

vinny - I used to do mystery shopping too, but can't be arsed any more - I also did a fair few mobile phone jobs.....

Dem - good luck for tomorrow, sorry things are stressy at school.

TrillianAstra · 24/03/2010 22:12

I didn't know that expression...

DidEinsteinsMum · 24/03/2010 22:20

which one trills?

"Sculking you"?
Its used alot round here by the teens. i like it as its not really stalking, just checking up. however sculking with intent is another issue.

TrillianAstra · 24/03/2010 22:24

'It's a fit up' - I can see what it means but wasn't familiar with it.

Skulking I think of as lurking with intent, though not necessarily bad intent. I would just skulk about rather than skulk at someone though.

DreamsInBinary · 24/03/2010 22:27

Hello

Sazz - sorry, I asked you a question and then buggered off to do some work.

If you look up the train times on Sunday back to the South West, you'll see that there are only a couple of options and they take a minimum of 6.5 hours.

I called the train line and they said there were engineering works, but they couldn't tell me where

I think we are the only two going from the SW?

DidEinsteinsMum · 24/03/2010 22:28

My spelling doesnt improve really does it. sorry.

TotalChaos · 24/03/2010 22:31

shiney - re:that e-mail - oh my - I almost feel sorry for him, as it's that foot in mouth thing where by trying to make things better he's made them worse again - I mean "boner"..... I'ld find this emphasis on nudey photos somewhat offputting....

TrillianAstra · 24/03/2010 22:31

My understanding (or not) wasn't related to spelling

TrillianAstra · 24/03/2010 22:34

I have a nearly 4-hr journey, but I did manage to snag a young persons railcard (still 25 now, will be 26 when travelling but can buy it and it'll be valid for a year).

DreamsInBinary · 24/03/2010 22:39

I am clearly being a fool

Will relook.
