I want the plum I can't have, and it's driving me mad - 10/10 thread with new added BOOTCAMP

Well some of us have strayed from the path of righteousness. Some of us have been off MN for a while. Some of us have got a bit porky apparently So this is a 10/10 thread with added extras.... the usual 10/10 thread remains (I think it's still going?) for people who want to eat more fruit and veg but don't need / want to lose weight.

The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. This is a kind of splinter 10/10 thread, the focus IS on weight loss / inch loss, as well as improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being, but the idea is to do this by eating healthily and getting more exercise, rather than anything drastic, cutting out food groups, etc. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

My name is Boco and I am getting a bit porky.

Franny it's too funny seeing you in a different outfit!

So, mostly I have been pureeing vegetables and syringe feeding it to a guinea pig with abnormally aligned teeth. It's like the weaning stage all over again, but with a little hairy mammal.

But not been so good at eating the vegetables or doing the exercise.

I have been listing food to myself. I cannot diet. But I do need to Not Eat Crap. I am losing the battle of the bulge. Someone actually asked me if I was expecting the other day

I am trying to walk around 2 miles a day briskly. but ds really doesn't want me to pick him up from school these days. he prefers to walk home so he can squander his pocket money on sausage rolls and go-gos I feel like a stalkery freak, walking to school, habging round, then trailing him home at a discreet distance.

i've been dying to list

apple, banana, raisins, grapes, in posh muesli, with soya milk and sunflower seeds

half a hot cross bun with butter

lentil and swede soup with bread and butter

salad with rocket, spinach, potatoes, eggs, tomatoes, cuc, beetroot, butter beans and avocado, and mayonnaise

2 satsumas, chocolate raisins, cashew nuts, 4 prunes

i reckon that is 10 or 11 if you count the choc raisins
oh and a chocolate milkshake (banana, soya milk and cocoa powder)

definitely 11

i walked 3 miles to sure start and back, plus played football with boys
i was meant to be running tonight - i've been running! twice! but i am soooo knackered

My list:

salad leaves, couple slices of tomato, sweet potato, fried onions (these all accompanied something horribly unhealthy which am too ashamed to list).

Erm, nothing else.

Peppermint tea?

Gentle stroll along Thames (about 40 mins total). Otherwise was sitting on fat arse in Tate Modern Garden and later lunching with best f.

Will do better tomorrow.

dinner was a disaster - was goulash but dp put so much spice it was inedible and now we're having to do emergency beans on toast.

I was supposed to be at a meeting but in all the excitement of goulash disasters I forgot and they called adn were all sitting and waiting.
