'flipping' organs!!

Now you're probably thinking I'm off my rocker here but bear with me!

My DS is 3. Since I gave birth, I sometimes get a weird sensation in my chest/stomach which when I bend right over. The only way to describe it is that it feels like an organ or something is 'flipping'. It takes my breath away and I have to stand up carefully. Then I feel it 'flip' back into place. Usually there are no other after effects. Sometimes it leaves me a tiny bit tender in the area for a day or so.

Please, is there anyone else who has this sensation???!!!

Hi TeaandToast35,
I also had an ultrasound AND a CAT scan. The doctors say my linea alba is fine, no obvious weakness or tears. The CAT scan showed all my organs are fine, nothing wrong. The doctors cannot find anything wrong with me.

So...using my own logic, I started using gelatin powder (for some added collagen) about three weeks ago and I am feeling GREAT! The soreness in my upper abdominal region has gone away. The feeling of not having enough room in there or needing to put my hand over that spot for support (upper center abdominal region) is going away. I think I was correct about there being a lack of estrogen and collagen.

I think this injury happened initially many years ago after giving childbirth. I must have torn something way back then (32 years ago) and it never healed correctly. Now that I am post-menopausal and 56 years old, I can feel the lack of estrogen and collagen throughout my body. But this upper abdominal area, where I had the "organ flipping" sensation, like an organ moved up underneath my ribs and got stuck, was feeling it the most.

Since I have been drinking the gelatin powder mixed in my tea, I am feeling a lot of relief! I highly recommend for anyone having the "organ flipping" issue to try some gelatin (you can make Jello with it or use it in just about anything). Not only can it help give you a collagen boost, it can help heal any issues you might be having in your gastrointestinal region.

I've had this same thing for 25 years. Anyone find out what causes it or a treatment? Mine is getting worse.

My thoughts are that it’s cramp. With me it only occurs during certain movements or exercise, not if I am relaxed/not doing anything. Keeping hydrated helps to avoid this I think.
