For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

aaaaarrrrgle at newborn socks [fetish]

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 08/08/2009 07:14

Pink - If I was around last night I would have pressed you for details on yours and TF's get together Were her feet furry and stripey?

Embuggerance, do I know you? Oh god I am crap at name changers.

And I have to agree with newborn socks. Oh, they're so small and soft and delicious.;

FairLadyRantALot · 08/08/2009 14:28

Lemur...I was well proud of myself yesterday, lol
Thought of you on Holiday, we wnet to a zoo thing in Germany and there were Lemurs

MayorNaze · 08/08/2009 16:07

i have returned from the land of robin hood!
and i am getting fat

went to a rather bizarre robin hood festival which kids lurved. how are we all?

and, in case she is lurking, i READ Franny and Zooey. tbh i preferred catcher in the rye

TigerFeet · 08/08/2009 18:21

We had a fab day too

I think you all know already that Pink is lovely... and her dd is a poppet and played beautifully with dd... and her ds is the most wonderfully contented baby with the biggest grin. Baked goodies were courtesy of Mr Kipling and McVities, but went down well nevertheless.

The furriness and stripiness of my feet will have to remain a mystery, I wore my fuck-off-clompy walking boots due to the rain . Which reminds me Pink, where were your spotty wellies??? Hmmmmm????

FrayedKnot [stern glare] you are not allowed to say Not Long Now. I am in denial. I'm not having this baby for aaaaaaaaages yet [head in sand emoticon]

Robin Hood festival sounds fun Mayor, we're not far from that neck of the woods (see what I did there ) but we've never done the Sherwood Forest thing.

Embuggerance I've read your other thread, but couldn't really add anything useful. I feel for you though, and I hope the light at the end of the tunnel starts to shine very soon. ((have a hug))

Welcome back FairLady

Boco I would be terrified of letting anyone stay here unaccompanied as it were. Where do you hide your sextoys porn personal items?? I very much doubt I could persuade anyone who lives anywhere interesting that they need a holiday in SE Lincs though... there really is fuck all going on around here most of the time. Unless you like cabbages birds. Ooooh, d'you think that 100x would do a swap?

Right, I'm off to find newborn socks on ebay. After all, not long now....

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 08/08/2009 18:41

I'm very that you thought of me Fairlady

I adore GAP's newborn socks, the thick towelling ones

banana
blueberries
apricots
cucumber
kidney beans
onions
tomatoes
mushrooms
OJ

TigerFeet · 08/08/2009 19:20

Gap you say?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 08/08/2009 19:24

Yes, indeed GAP. The towelling ones that fold over at the ankle. They do actually stay on

Matalan do some towelling ones that are cheaper, but they don't stay as soft ime.

TigerFeet · 08/08/2009 19:40

Socks that stay on are always good

There's a GAP outlet near where I work so I'll pop in and have a browse.

Any more handy hints?

I have ordered nappies today

pinkspottywellies · 08/08/2009 19:40

The lady in GAP told us that thier socks had a 'mechanism' and they definitely wouldn't fall off. We were on hols in London and had just jumped off the tube in Oxford street to buys socks cause dd kept losing them. She had lost a GAP sock before we got to London Zoo

I keep my Pink Spotty Wellies at my ILs but there is a picture on my profile!

I purchased lots of fruit and veg today but have been too lazy tired to eat any!

My wonderfully contented my arse DS is yelling in his cot. Every time I go and feed him some more he drops off to sleep >

FrayedKnot · 08/08/2009 21:36

Tiger! not long aaaages to go!!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 09/08/2009 09:22

Hi ABW

pmsl at the sock mechanism!

What sort of tips are you looking for TF? Apart from PUSH of course

FairLadyRantALot · 09/08/2009 09:56

Gap [psst, thought they were very unethical....like many others of course]

Tigerfeet...so when is that Baby due, that you still have ageeeeeeeessssssssss?

Well...yesterday was another good day F&V way:
Strawberries
Apple
Peach
Peppers
Mushrooms
Tomatoes
(whilst that doesn't sound so much, it was between 10-12 portions of this)

ABitWrong · 09/08/2009 14:48

gap are v unethical

MayorNaze · 09/08/2009 15:39

its going to be winter soon. baby can wear tights! even a boy (just don't tell it it's supposed to mind!)!

brocolli
tomatoes
courgette
raspberries

and have in front of me to eat:
banana
apple
clementine type thing

i need excercise dvds as otherwise i will have doubled in size by september. somebody somewhere must actually use them surely?

ABitWrong · 09/08/2009 15:44

jako-o (german company) sell tights specifically for boys
v sensible

MayorNaze · 09/08/2009 15:44

my brother used to wear tights for rugby training til he was quite big iirc...

this was under trackki bums though

FrayedKnot · 09/08/2009 17:59

My biggest pumpkin is 25 inches in diameter already [proud]

I am still wondering what to do with the marrows

I have this problem every year

FrayedKnot · 09/08/2009 18:01

Apols for totally unrelated random posting

Where is pointy?

And SB?

TigerFeet · 09/08/2009 18:02

I kept telling dh that he should wear tights under his jeans when he went to watch the football - I always did that when I went in the winter and I was always loads warmer than he was. I even promised not to tell anyone he was wearing them

babyisdueinjustunderfiveweeks I am not having a baby for aaaaaaaaages.

If I look hard enough I'm sure there are ickle socks lurking in most of the corners of this house. I probably don't need to buy any at all.

MayorNaze · 09/08/2009 19:14

stuff the marrows. with mince, blue cheese, ratatouille, whatever takes your fancy i have 4 that are growing away merrily...yet from the pumpkins there is no action at all

5 weeks is ages what flavour baby are you having?

TigerFeet · 09/08/2009 20:04

It's another pink one, dd2

Cabbage
Carrots
OJ

[shame]

My pumpkin is not much bigger than a golf ball . Should I remove the remaining flowers and a few leaves do you think? It might concentrate the plant's energy into the pumpkin. It's being grown in a pot, which I think may be its downfall.

Guadalupe · 09/08/2009 20:10

Hello.

Moving house is Very Hard Work. I have given myself a crick in the neck painting our conservatory. Should be there in a week or so though.

Any babies born? Is Franny back?

How are you doing, Toot?

littlerach · 09/08/2009 20:35
