For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Welcome, jodie.

I feel shit today so unless Bombay mix will count as 10 portions, I will fail.

Ninjacat · 29/07/2009 19:41

Thank you for the tips.
Yes I was on this thread a couple of months ago but fell off the wagon quite considerably.
I'm 23wks pg and really don't want to put on any more weight.

pinkspottywellies · 29/07/2009 21:56

Can't believe how much rain there is. It just keeps coming.

I've swam. In a pool not in the rain 74 lengths (think the pool is about 12 metres) So about half an hour I think. Sweetcorn, mango, raisins, ham (I can't count that can I ) Great big toffee choux pastry bun thing.

Need to get arse in gear re food. We'll have to do boot camp! Oh Franneeeeeeeee!

MayorNaze · 29/07/2009 22:11

hello ninjacat as well.

please can someone turn off the rain

SuperBunny · 29/07/2009 22:38

I cannot believe the rain. Poor DS has asked if it rains every day here and it has. Every single bloody day!

Hello jodie....congrats on bump and well done for making Toot a grandmother before me!!!!

I am doing pretty well with Food and exercise... exercise more when I get the chance. I have to 'supervise' 'H' with DC's so do a lot of running around, and swimming.

TigerFeet · 30/07/2009 10:31

I hope you have a lovely day Lemur, thinking of you

Glad things are settling down Mitsu. I'm due in just over 6 weeks [gulp]

Yes we do need Franny don't we? Come out, come out wherever you are

Can anyone recommend nappies or slings for newborns?

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 30/07/2009 11:13

Wow TF....... No advice on nappies and slings, that all seems a lifetime ago. We just used good old fashioned Terry nappies. hey are still used around the house, including some that were used on my Dad lol...

Thinking of you Lemur. Have a special day.

pottering around before the onslaught of children bored by the rain..

catch y'all later..

SuperBunny · 30/07/2009 15:02

Thinking of you Lemur. Hope you have a lovely day.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 30/07/2009 18:38

Hi..SB.....how are you feeling?

littlerach · 30/07/2009 18:46

SuperBunny · 30/07/2009 21:16

Anti-virals
Antibiotics
Antihistamines
Jaffa Cakes
Cocopops

pinkspottywellies · 31/07/2009 07:12

Good list SB The that you're actually in same country still hasn't worn off

I loved wraps for newborn TF. Like a Moby or I borrowed Franny's Hugabub. Look at youtube for how to use them. If you're planning to splash out on nappies then my friend loves these tots bots. She's using them on her baby and toddler so they really do last all the way thru. You get £30 cash back from the council too, when you buy reuseables.

I've started well today. Half an apple.

Lemur, hope you had a good day yesterday. It was DH's bday too. We went out for dinner. I'd forgotten that I actually quite like him. [wierd] (couldn't decide between a )

SuperBunny · 31/07/2009 08:28

Aw Pink, that's lovely. It is easy to forget how much you like somebody and why you like them, I think.

Your half apple beats my weekly intake I think Off to mum's next week so I doubt it'll improve greatly.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 31/07/2009 09:08

How is DS finding it over here SB?

Am planning to be focussed today.

Beautiful start today...

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 31/07/2009 13:33

Thanks fo9r your thoughts ladies. We had a great day, although it didn't start off that well as the weather was dire and a fecking bus drove through a puddle and soaked me Ooooh, did I swear

Cambridge was as beautiful as ever and Baby Lemur was on fine form

Pink, I did laugh at your comment about actually liking your husband, it made me

I'll list now for today as I'm off out tonight:

banana x2
nakd bar
cherries
cucumber
kidney beans
onions
tomatoes

SuperBunny · 31/07/2009 13:47

It's hard, Mits. He's ok during the day but is waking up at night or crying in his sleep, saying he misses his Daddy

Apple
Plum
Nectarine
tomatoes
ha

SuperBunny · 31/07/2009 13:51

Bollocks... since we have been with my sister, I have spilled a cup of tea all over her lovely cream carpet, fallen into a picture on the wall and broken the frame and now DS tripped over one of her very expensive garden lights and broke it. Obviously, I cleaned the carpet as best I could and will replace the broken things but, well, bugger.

SuperBunny · 31/07/2009 13:53

Glad you had a good day Lemur. Sorry about the bus!

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 31/07/2009 15:18

Would a web cam be worth considering at some point SB..or would it make it worse for him at the moment?

SuperBunny · 31/07/2009 20:16

We use the webcam often, Mits. Not sure if it helps or makes things worse but I think it is important that DS can talk to his dad whenever he wants to.
