For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

pointydog · 16/07/2009 18:47

MayorNaze · 16/07/2009 18:51

drape watercress decoratively over one ear and spatter your book with mayo

must go hose down dcs and count the seconds til dh comes home with my burger

Guadalupe · 16/07/2009 19:29

Very impressed with mayonnnaise making! I am not nearly so industrious at my book group though I have fun with snack combinations.

Dh has dashed my final decision of an ivory chantilly vivid sand pocked tile and announced that he would very much like a coloured glass splashback like this. It's okay, I suppose, I mean I quite like it but I don't really like it with the matching upstand, and you would never match a tile to that colour short of bespoking the glass for more £££££. Reader, what would you do, please?

SuperBunny · 16/07/2009 20:22

Blueberries

bugger

Guadalupe · 16/07/2009 20:51

bugger about the blueberries or another one?

You are not giving us enough info, SB, like what food you are eating, what you are wearing and whether you are freezing. Come on, it's a huge change!

ABitWrong · 16/07/2009 21:00

Guad, I don't quite understand your tile/splashback dilemma [probably dim]
What are the options?

I get to meet SB on Sunday

Guadalupe · 16/07/2009 21:06

How have you kept that quiet? Ooh, that's exciting. What are you doing, where are you going?

Tile dilemma is dull really. I like this sort of thing (you need to enlarge to see detail) and dh has taken a fancy to this. Very different style.

ABitWrong · 16/07/2009 21:19

Gladyou and dh are in agreement Guad

We are meeting at a castle but I won't post which one on here.

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 16/07/2009 21:24

OK, I am not really coming on to share with you my vegetable eating habits today, but rather to applaud you once again with your most humorous title. I just sang this out to DH, and am currently wiping real tears of laughter from my eyes, it got my tickle spot! I often read the titles to DH and he shakes his head, this time, even he smiled, despite not wanting to

PS - tea this evening - chicken, with bean salad (inc runner beans, red peppers, sweetcorn), pasta salad with sundried tomatoes, red peppers, onions, lettuce, cherries, tomatoes, baby new potatoes - how about that for vegetables eh?)

ABitWrong · 16/07/2009 21:27

Potatoes don't count. Apart from that, not bad. I would give you a sticker but I am not licensed to do so.

SuperBunny · 16/07/2009 21:37

Bugger because I seem to only have managed blueberries today

I am eating mashed potatoes and beans mainly. And wearing jeans and t-shirts [dull] I have not been freezing but the weather is more changeable than I remember. I will wear something glamorous on Sunday

Guadalupe · 16/07/2009 21:38

Ooops, wrong link, dh likes this one.

Glad it amused you, pavlov!

Guadalupe · 16/07/2009 21:38

FFS, What is wrong with my clipboard?

Guadalupe · 16/07/2009 21:40

aha

Guadalupe · 16/07/2009 21:41

Mashed potatoes and beans??

Oh.

Can't you eat something more interesting?
