For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Peas. I ate peas too

ABitWrong · 16/07/2009 21:45

My opinion, once I finished snorting at your repeated links to the tile (I sense some subliminal messaging here) is that they are different enough not to bother each other. Iyswim. But I would probably want to see them side by side in RL before making a firm decision.

ABitWrong · 16/07/2009 21:46

Oh yes, glamorous. That will be fab in the muddy woods behind the castle where there are bits you can scramble up and down

Guadalupe · 16/07/2009 21:53

well, I wasn't planning on having both.

ABitWrong · 16/07/2009 21:58

well, I think wot you say

ABitWrong · 16/07/2009 21:59

I may switch my brain off for the night. It isn't working anyway. Sigh.
Actually, I may function better without it.

Guadalupe · 16/07/2009 22:01

Lol, ok, I take your advice.

I am going to watch the Forsyte Saga again. Poor old Irene, a lover under a wheel and it's bacK to Soames.

TigerFeet · 17/07/2009 11:15

What are your units like Guad? Country style needs tiles but the glass one might be better with a modern style. I like the tiles meself, but I suppose the glass would be easier to keep clean [undecided][unhelpful]

Guadalupe · 17/07/2009 12:39

It's a painted wood kitchen so I suppose country style, with a battered old table and a big larder dresser. I couldn't work out if it would look odd together or whether it would be nice to have something a bit more contemporary.

I think you are right. Dh is very keen though.

I can't stop eating toast this morning. No fruit as yet, we don't have any.

TooTicky · 17/07/2009 12:59

The glass is quite fun though.

pointydog · 17/07/2009 13:35

The main problem I have is that link to the galss splashback. I think a glass splashback would be very good but in that link it just looks like a big blackboard. I cannot see the irridescence or the glassness at all.

Fired easrth tiles are, of course, lovely but so eye-wateringly expen sive.

Hard to decide unless we can see a better picture of the glass.

TooTicky · 17/07/2009 13:40

But you can imagine the glass.

pointydog · 17/07/2009 13:42

Is it black shiny glass?

If so, I wouldn't go for black glass

OsmosisBanana · 17/07/2009 15:13

Mmm, i wanted a glass splash back.... Dh not allowing this, thus being his usual self and pretending he gives a flying turd when I know he doesn't and should just let me have it. Oops. A wee whisper of irritation there.

Are you a Brizzle resident Mayor?

2 x banana
half a cucumber
spinach
onions
butter beans
toms
some other stuff

prob about 8 so far.

We are having a can't be arsed dinner, fish fingers and chips. Am ridiculously pleased about this. I may even allow DH in the kitchen.

FrayedKnot · 17/07/2009 15:50

I have drunk wine at lunch

I will look at tiles when I'm feeling more coherent

ABW you are meeting SB

OsmosisBanana · 17/07/2009 15:53

i want a glass of wine

What do you reckon the chances of DH having done any of the house work are when I get in? (He finished at 12)

Slim to none I'm guessing.

littlerach · 17/07/2009 16:09

Yes I would like wine too.

Have settiled for coffe.

OB, no chance of him doing housework.

I sent dh to the supermarket today as he has a day off, and i was at work.
he managed ot not buy anyhting on the list as he forgot it . MIL went with him and she paid for it all

Sports day was cancelled due ot shit weather.

Where is the sun?

OsmosisBanana · 17/07/2009 16:13

Hi LR!

I am v of people with parents / IL's who live near by or at least come and stay.

littlerach · 17/07/2009 18:22

So am I

They are in Devon but have come up for a few days. Prior to that they were in USA!!! So far too far away.

SuperBunny · 17/07/2009 19:01

I think we should have a beachy meet-up. Near me, obviously [selfish]

FK what part of the country are you in? I thought I knew but I think I have forgotten.

Tomatoes, mushrooms (1)
Raspberries
juice
banana

ahundredtimes · 17/07/2009 19:16

Hmm, think I agree with Pointy. Think it might look a bit odd tbh Guad. Also black smoked glass v. bachelor flat circa 1984.

Can you afford to compromise on glass tiles instead? Too expensive. Like these. I am v. keen on oblong shape tiles.

Look lovely colours here

FrayedKnot · 17/07/2009 19:26

Ooh yes SB, I would be up for that

I am in Kent...perhaps a bit too far though?

And next year I think a festival meet up would be fab

The effects of the wine have worn off

I will do tile porn apres bedtime stories

Haven't listed for aaages

Strawbs
Carrots
Lettuce
Peas
Leeks

um...that'll be why then

FrayedKnot · 17/07/2009 19:33

Oh and juice

FrayedKnot · 17/07/2009 19:35

Pointy how did the mayo go down at book group?

Does everyone on here go to book group?

SuperBunny · 17/07/2009 19:49

I have lost all sense of distance. If there is a sensible place to meet up halfway between Dorset and Kent, we could do that. Or maybe another London meet-up would be easier. My mum just suggested a weekend in London over the summer and I gleefully announced, "Oh yes! I can go and meet my friends!" and she looked a bit disappointed that I didn't seem so excited about a weekend with her
