For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Ds1 is a lot like you though isn't he Franny?
I was thinking about him just now actually.
Have you talked to him about it being okay to worry a bit? Because it is just a form of caring. But that it shouldn't make him miserable.
Oh I don't know,I am talking out of my arse.

pinkspottywellies · 21/02/2009 09:31

Congrats on the oven stuffit and the speed hygiene! Loved the kitchen porn yesterday

Just sorting out some bump photots for you awkward bunch not on Facebook!

Franny, sleep does help make everything else a bit easier doesn't it. Can you nap?

stuffitllama · 21/02/2009 09:34

I'm ok Toot. Just clearing out the spare room wearing a home made diamante headpiece cobbled together from a child's necklace and one of my bracelets. It's a Bollywood themed night out tonight and I'm practising to see if it falls apart.

Good luck with the therapist. I don't think you are talking out of your arse Toot. When I get too helicopterish I think of "benign neglect".. allegedly the best way to bring up children so long as you set decent behaviour boundaries.

Hope it goes ok Fran. We all have some facade or other. Isn't Bbbee the hairy truck driver?

pinkspottywellies · 21/02/2009 09:35

Hope the phone call goes well Fran. ave you written stuff down to remember?

Nothing doing by the way - no twinges or contractions and my waters didn't break spectacularly in the night

MIL is coming for lunch.

stuffitllama · 21/02/2009 09:36

PINK!

how are you feeling?

hello .. don't have your baby today, you will undermine my predictive talents

other than that, don't clean

that's it really

stuffitllama · 21/02/2009 09:38

oh.. she'll be desperate for a bit of puffing and panting won't she?

pinkspottywellies · 21/02/2009 09:39

I just need to clear out some cupboards and things but then I'll stop. I've got a good 10 days to go.

stuffitllama · 21/02/2009 09:41

ooh itchy headdress

i'm going to look at your bump

AtillaTheHoney · 21/02/2009 09:42

{{{{{{{{{pink}}}}}}}}}} (fur-lined. nesting ones.

{{{{{{{{{SB}}}}}}}}}}}} (protective, nurturing, positive vibe ones).....and can I ask you to look at FB please?

I am also a hairy arsed truck driver with a body odour problem and foul smelling breath. I don't have any friends in RL....does anyone want to sit on my lap? leery

pinkspottywellies · 21/02/2009 09:43

stuffit!

TooTicky · 21/02/2009 09:46

I will Atilla!
And can I ask YOU to look on fb please?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 21/02/2009 10:04

Morning all.

Calming and positive vibes to all and sundry, and a few cervix thinning vibes being chucked Pinks way

Forgot to list yesterday:

bluberries
banana
dried fruit
carrots
cucumber
humous
grapes
mushrooms
peppers

So, baby Lemur decided to start blw this morning. He grabbed Mr Lemur's toast (with butter and jam on) and shoved it in as fast as lightening. 'gluten, dairy, sugar, wheat' where all flashing through my mind, but ds had the biggest grin on his face and managed the toast perfectly well. He's 2 days short of 24 weeks, but I think he's ready

Any blw tips would be greatly appreciated

No, no Pink, you're going ot have it on Wednesday cos that's my Birthday!!

I have 2 school friends coming today and am ridiculously excited

have hoovered, washed up, tidied and baked a cheesecake.

SB, anyhting we can do to help? WE could all fly over and visit? That would be a good meet up

It os sunny again, like spring really.

pinkspottywellies · 21/02/2009 10:12

BLW tip - no gluten, dairy, sugar or wheat before 26 weeks

Avi have some cleaning behind the fridge vibes (but I've had enough of the real thing now!)

Lemur, it's a little unwise to talk about cervixes (? cervix plural?) on here. They get a bit graphic. Think flowers and car windows and all sorts. Although we might have to have a repeat thread title some time next week with 'fruity bitches at your cervix'

TooTicky · 21/02/2009 10:13

Hello Lemur - sorry, mine were weaned before I knew about blw so am useless.

Avi - either you will have potatoes or a nice new house. Win win. Hello btw.

TooTicky · 21/02/2009 10:14

Oh hello Pink and LR

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 21/02/2009 10:19

oh yes, crinkle cutter sounds a good idea. I had read about that but forgot about it.

cervix and car windows? eh?

Toot, I bet you done blw without even realising it, especially with the size of your brood.

Good luck with the viewing Avi, finger crossed for you.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 21/02/2009 10:20

fingers

TooTicky · 21/02/2009 10:43

No, I fiddled about with sieves and baby rice I'm afraid.

Guadalupe · 21/02/2009 10:48

I hate facebook too. I keep meaning to leave but there are the odd few bits where keeping in touch with people has been useful.

It's so exposed and cringe-making. As if life isn't enough fluff and guff without adults sending stars full of custard in a virtual world that may well connect you with people but in fact is like some insular little room full of issues behind sparkles.

God, it's like someone bricked up the door after you you went to a shit party. Let me out into the grey, I implore you. I LIKE bleak.

Guadalupe · 21/02/2009 10:51

Ahem, ANYWAY, enough of my ramblings. Are you all well? Not asking anyone in particular of course, just wondering if anyone has any unusual cramps or big blobs of jelly falling from their nethers.

Grapes
bananas
sultanas
apricot
orange juice

stuffitllama · 21/02/2009 11:03

i have had jelly nethers but I'm older than you and I think it's part of being a gimmer

hope you are ok Guad

You can't leave fb .. they'll keep all our details and use our children's pictures on weetabix adverts

i'm with Toot on the weaning -- pureed carrot ice cubes, what a pain, blw would have been a relief

pinkspottywellies · 21/02/2009 11:05

OH MY GOD!! I HAVE JELLY NETHERS AND UNUSUAL CRAMPS [SHOCK]
