For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Pear, satsuma and 1 hour yoga and half an hour in the gym, since I last posted.

I am cross-eyed with all this focussing.

Sunday in early June OK for me.

TooT DS has a very variable appetite and I just go with it.

Since Christmas he has been a bit under the weather with one thing and another and several times has not had a cooked meal (i.e. instead has had two meals of sandwiches, etc) because he hasn;t fancied it.

This week he seems to be going in the oposite direction and eating everythign in sight.

I think a lot depends on their growth and activity levels doesn;t it.

FrayedKnot · 17/02/2009 22:19

Lol FRanny I had forgotten, I had vegetable crisps today and was going to claim them.

TooTicky · 17/02/2009 22:20

That's true. We are not being v v active en masse atm, although he is constantly climbing doors.
Perhaps he is actually turning into a monkey.

TooTicky · 17/02/2009 22:21

Hmm, at least I am HONEST with my lists.

womblingalong · 17/02/2009 22:25

SB, I agree with atilla, you are fab, I don't know what exH is thinking of. The red meat thing sounds very peculiar.

Right Focus:

Raisins and dried pineapple
Dates
Strawberries
Banana
Apple
Plum
Mushrooms
Mange Tout
Peas
OJ

I think 8 portions

TooTicky · 17/02/2009 22:30

Hello BBee, how is your Focus?

I am supposed to be going to bed, but can't tear myself away from the computer for some me time, mad isn't it, I stay up much later than I should just to feel like a person, not a drudge.

womblingalong · 17/02/2009 23:21

Yup am working, DH has had day off today with DD, my dad is having her tomorrow, and she is going to a friends on Thursday. I am off Mondays and Fridays, so will have both then.

I am a bit wistful that I don't get a dayon my own with her this time, but I don't have much holiday left this year.

womblingalong · 17/02/2009 23:22

PS I think that email has exited my outbox finally so should be there soon.
