For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Is it Ranty I see there asking 'is it something pervy'??

A remarkable break from form

my little tarts are smelling lovely. Goats ch**se (oh hang on, that is prob ok no?) and leek. Luverly.

I have microbiology tomorrow. I shall mostly be holding my hands over my ears going 'lalalalalala'. My 'kitchen' is a complete midden.

mollyroger · 15/02/2009 20:02

well my house is a midden and none of us ever get stomachy-ill...

FairLadyRantALot · 15/02/2009 20:03

Atilla, I meant homeopathy more than mantras
I do have one frequently used mantra though, it is I-hate-parking-I-hate-parking muttered at speed in tight spots

littlerach · 15/02/2009 20:10

Tarts souns nice OB.

Are they easy?

I have 2 v good old school friends coming to visit me on Saturday and am feeding them. Tarts could be a good idea.

OsmosisBanana · 15/02/2009 20:14

They are incredibly easy LittleR. Especially now I have discovered a semi-decent Delia 'cheat' ingredient.

readymade individual frozen pastry cases.

The filling takes 5 mins max

AtillaTheHoney · 15/02/2009 20:15

I want a 'shed'.

AtillaTheHoney · 15/02/2009 20:23

It was me FairLady....they made me Roffle....but H no likey

My mum and dad have a midden.

I am very industrious tonight...

Oh god yes, and..

Tomato, x3
lettuce,
banana,
juice,
peas,

To be honest, I don't have an appetite again at the moment so am struggling to eat a great deal...I thought the iron would give me a raging one but I just don't get hungry again.

I am just chronically thirsty.

Your little tarts do smell lovely though Osba,

FairLadyRantALot · 15/02/2009 20:32

ach your H no fun.... for you....
but glad they aren't anything kinky (or am I )

oh and me tinks we need more focus.....

AtillaTheHoney · 15/02/2009 20:36

...well there was a good reason I chose to send one to you!

I will have 2 portions of plums and a portion of apricots...nice and easy to eat.

Yes my focus is slipping again a little......should have got a mondeo......(lol...groan!)

FrayedKnot · 15/02/2009 20:37

And FOCUS

Today seems to have been long and I can't remember what I had this morning.

For lunch I had beetroot, red cabbage, coleslaw, avocado at a kind of help yourself buffet thing. And cheese and biscuits and raspberry trifle.

In a moment will be having veg soup.

40 minute bike ride.

AtillaTheHoney · 15/02/2009 20:49

God that is good FK, I hope you enjoyed it and didn't suffer for it.

TooTicky · 15/02/2009 20:56

We used fucidin for dds too. I had a thread a few months ago as she was covered in it, all up her arms and legs and was waking crying at night. I used emollient cream every day, 3 times a day, and fucidin for bad bits, and now she has one small patch on her left arm only. I have no idea why she got it or why it went away - didn't change anything in her diet, mystery.

Avi did you have to sit there for long, after refusing to leave?

FairLadyRantALot · 15/02/2009 21:09

oh, yes, had fucidin at one point too, for ds's and myself...good stuff....

Toot..you are already in the pit....
