For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Why don't you just wear a hair shirt and be done with it. With a 100% cotton exterior and breast holes of course.

FrannyandZooey · 15/02/2009 18:47

too itchy, the idea is to ELIMINATE itching

right we need anecdotes and details about your evening
you can't just say oh we danced and got hungover
come on now

FrannyandZooey · 15/02/2009 18:49

gravy
i am stuck on sofa but this is how i remember it
fry onions and mushrooms, then cook flour. take off heat for a few minutes then gradually add stock, bring to boil, simmer for ages and ages. i think that is it. can do quantities later if needed. it's very nice,

FairLadyRantALot · 15/02/2009 18:57

do we need to chant a mantra or something like that whilst doing that Toot?

Sorry, couldn't resist ...hope I am not offending anyone....it's jsut, that a friend , who trained at one point as a Homeopath decided against it, once she realised that there was some dodgy stuff (in her opinion) going on, like witchcraft things...

OsmosisBanana · 15/02/2009 18:57

Some muppet is trying to out who she thinks is Xenia in RL and doesn't understand why she is getting flamed. Even I have learnt better than that.

mollyroger · 15/02/2009 18:59

OB? where? I have gone from thinking I hated Xenia, to being prepared to defend her to the death because she is consistenat and ''what you see is what you get'' which I like and never loses her temper.

OsmosisBanana · 15/02/2009 19:01

If you go into my profile page, twill prob be on threads I'm on... or sumfink.

Like the word grebby. Sounds like a cross between gravy / grubby / plebby

OsmosisBanana · 15/02/2009 19:02

I like Xenia, she takes no shit from no-one like, and as you say, consistent.

TooTicky · 15/02/2009 19:04

Hello OB and Molly

Fairlady, I am the only possible offendee and I am non-offendable.

mollyroger · 15/02/2009 19:05

found it OB (and reported it alog with everyone else!) And thank you for being able to read my appalling spelling and know I meant consistent

OsmosisBanana · 15/02/2009 19:06

I am watching Dancing in the Dark on YouTube and am ridiculously overexcited about seeing The Boss at Glasto

Gah!

OsmosisBanana · 15/02/2009 19:06

lolz, didn't even notice!

pinkspottywellies · 15/02/2009 19:27

I like Xenia too. In fact it's maybe more that I like the fact that you get such different opinions on MN and hers is usually against the grain!! I like it when someone says something that makes me go 'oh, I never thought of it like that' even if I don't agree. But yes the OP of that thread is a twat

I had a big salad with my dinner

mollyroger · 15/02/2009 19:35

Just had some vile strawberries.

FairLadyRantALot · 15/02/2009 19:47

lol Toot

Didn't someone already out Xenia at one stage?
I quite like Xenia, too...she is brilliant , infuriating at times, but brilliant

AtillaTheHoney · 15/02/2009 19:51

Heyyyy! Molly

There is a silly application on FB called 'lick my lollipop' that a (female) friend invited me on, and I have had to delete it ......sigh

I do mantras Toot! in an unoficial sort of way.

I haven't really come across Xenia, but am a 'live and let live' sort of person. If I obviously don't click with someone I try to avoid the situation rather than trying to inflame it. Humanity is amazing because of its rich diversity and it would be crap if we all thought the same things. I am not plain spoken but can admire people that are....we all need to work to our strengths...I won't change the world but I won't start any world wars either.

C'est la vie an' all that.

Might take a look at the thread, I don't like witch hunts.
