For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Also anything by Bruce Springsteen. Dunno why.

SuperBunny · 15/02/2009 18:04

I got a guitar last weekend and the only thing I can play on it is Everybody Hurts.

Sorry about your day, Fairlady.

I am failing miserably at 10/10 atm but wanted to come back and say hello. Is the yurt still open? If so, where?

OsmosisBanana · 15/02/2009 18:09

pinkspottywellies · 15/02/2009 18:11

Franny has mushroom gravy I think? She'll tell you how to make it.

AtillaTheHoney · 15/02/2009 18:12

Sounds like a good night Guad....wonder if Boco will say YOU were a bad influence? Lol

Guadalupe · 15/02/2009 18:13

She might. She will be lying.

pinkspottywellies · 15/02/2009 18:15

I imagine you were both as bad as each other!! Glad you had a good time. It sounds fab!

mollyroger · 15/02/2009 18:15

my slatternly ways have led me to an exciting scientific discovery!
If you leave cooked curly kale out overnight and it dries up, it tastes exactly like crispy seaweed....

SuperBunny · 15/02/2009 18:17

Ooo Franny - tell me about your mushroom gravy.

Molly, bleurgh!

Glad you had fun Guad

Boco · 15/02/2009 18:19

Had a very good time - Guad is Bad Influence.

Does hair of the dog really help? I have wine but I don't know if i can do it. Doing the weeks shop was a nightmare, I nearly wept in the yoghurt aisle.

Am going to eat kale.

Guadalupe · 15/02/2009 18:20

Drink more. I felt much better after pub lunch.

Boco · 15/02/2009 18:21

See? It's Guad who is bad influence, not me.

littlerach · 15/02/2009 18:21

We have been to Mudeford for the afternoon, it was great.

They had fish and chips fo rlunch, I had tomato and basil soup.

WE tried crabbing but we were rubbish

And we walked lots along the beach.

Actually, it was one of the nicest days out we have had for ages.

Hello SB, really good to see you.

Guadalupe · 15/02/2009 18:22

I am caring for your well-being. That makes me a good unfluence.

Mm littleR, I love fish and chips. Don't fancy them right now though funnily enough.

SuperBunny · 15/02/2009 18:23

FairLady....err...what city apart from Derby are you inbetween?

Guadalupe · 15/02/2009 18:31

The excema sounds very stressful, Franny. I know what you mean about control. DD grew out of her asthma by about 2, sometimes the atopic things go of their own accord. Do you really want to give up wheat on top of everything else? It's quite a lot to do isn't it.

FrannyandZooey · 15/02/2009 18:40

guad not really except in a self flagellatory way it might be satisfying
i think if i don't do it i will wonder though
went out for lunch today was one thing on menu i could eat - no pudding, obviously
mind you TooT must feel like this all the time
