The Lychee Lads - 10 / 10 thread

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

what sort of schoolangst avi?
And I think 15/15 would be oversoing thngs...

BBBee · 04/02/2009 21:20

okay - i want to talk about the book - but i am not doing it on designated thread i am doing it here because i don;t want to upset people that worked hard.

i skimmed it in the bookshop and it didn't really capture the humour for me. Like franny - your clock quote is in there and i remember that being funny as fuck - but because it was the peak of a long running saga - there in balck and white you seemed like a pollyanna nutjob. oh and the teeth one makes you sound like a rational nazi. frayedknot seems kind of sensible and normal and i didn;t get it.

i didn't work for me.

where is the funny?

Guadalupe · 04/02/2009 21:21

You can say it here. Things are the same, just with focus.

what school angst?

Beeb - did you eat a whole portion o pickled chillis? Did you? Hhmmm?

Guadalupe · 04/02/2009 21:21

That was honest, Bee.

BBBee · 04/02/2009 21:22

no avi - it is just guad being good girl - guad girl. she is buying fairtrade stuff adn opening a shop and stuff and eating 25 portions of fruit for breakfast.

i thinks he hopes if she does well franny will come round and move her door.

BBBee · 04/02/2009 21:23

i went to a lebanese resturant and i ate 5 big chillis. does that count hmm guad?

BBBee · 04/02/2009 21:25

oh shit - have i been too honest?

BBBee · 04/02/2009 21:26

oh no yesterday i lied adn that was wrong and now i am doing truth and that is wrong.

(((((lip wobbles))))))

Guadalupe · 04/02/2009 21:29

LOL, Bee. Guad girl, that is very funny.

I also had three glasses of wine and half a terry's chocolate orange so that negates it slightly.

My door has to be ever so slightly off centre. I have grudgingly agreed.

FairLadyRantALot · 04/02/2009 21:29

oh BBBee...surely it is o.k. being honest...

BBBee · 04/02/2009 21:33

where's molly?

i want to do not smoking talk.

Boco · 04/02/2009 21:33

What did you lie about yesterday Bbee?

I think your truth telling is fine, it must be very hard to capture the humour of mn. And most importantly I was left out.

Guadalupe · 04/02/2009 21:36

Honest is good, yes.

Do you mind being left out, Boco? Have you checked the unnamed quotes. I bet you're in there.

FairLadyRantALot · 04/02/2009 21:37

thing is, things are often only funny if you are there at the time....iykwim....out of context it will loose it's hilariouslyness....

BBBee · 04/02/2009 21:41

yes - in fact it was no boco that made me think - and then i thought maybe the humour doesn't translate - or the editor didn;t get it.

but that clock thing - taping over the number - that was FUNNY and there is seems PRACTICAL and it doesn't work.

i think they should put the brothel role play in there.

BBBee · 04/02/2009 21:42

oh boco - i lied and said i had an apple when i didn;t

BBBee · 04/02/2009 21:45

guad - i thought of you today with all the celeb rah going on.

Boco · 04/02/2009 21:47

I think i'd mind more if i was quoted but not named [egotistical] Actually that would really annoy me.

AtillaTheHoney · 04/02/2009 21:49

I bet you all have this, it is my bible

I have to recommend it though.

It is really easy to find cheaply on e-bay.

FairLadyRantALot · 04/02/2009 21:53
