I could chose a life of Peas then I would be a boatman - 10/10 thread

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Apologies for new thread AND for missing the 'If' off the beginning. I will never ever start a new thread again

I won't be offended if you start a new real thread with a proper title.

Hey, well done SB
At least you got the linky bit right. I always forget that bit.

SuperBunny · 16/01/2009 04:59

Yeah, crappy title but the veg bit works! Hooray!

hello!
I vote for something involving 'morning glory' in the next thread title

Coil stories - shitting buggering buggering hell, tiny. Who doesn't swear, oops. Sorry. I'm going to need to some contraceptive ideas eventually - before dd, I was on the pill (for many many years), I don't ever want hormonal contraception again. Does anyone have contraception they're happy with?

Mochi - are lovely. Best when you eat them with proper Japanese tea, the stuff they use in tea ceremony. The tea's really bitter and offsets the sweet mochi. The slightly extreme caffeine/ sugar combo works for me, too

stuffitllama · 16/01/2009 06:16

hello mango
by the way toot I thought SB was a multiply-pierced goth and I'm friends with an utter stranger on fb I've realised

TooTicky · 16/01/2009 06:25

Hello mango and Stuffit

Stuffit, I made friends with her too

I can't go back to bed, my hips hurt too much when I lie down.

TooTicky · 16/01/2009 06:28

Oh, have you gone?

TooTicky · 16/01/2009 06:35
mangolassi · 16/01/2009 06:36

I'm still here, between 'difficult' conversations at work with current boss and soon-to-be boss....

satsuma-type thing

TooTicky · 16/01/2009 06:42

hello

sounds complicated

TooTicky · 16/01/2009 06:42

so what time of day is it for you?

mangolassi · 16/01/2009 06:54

It's almost 2 pm. I'm losing a boss I love, she's a friend too, and getting one I'm not sure about yet. She's being forced out of job. It's grim grim grim

stuffitllama · 16/01/2009 06:55

my internet is beyond slow
I fear a crash
How can you make your hips better Toot? Something Must Be Done.

TooTicky · 16/01/2009 07:05

Oh no, that's really sad Mango.

Stuffit, I don't know. Last pg, the midwife implied that it was my fault for being pregnant 4 times and that they were basically knackered.
I might try yoga one day when I have a life.
They are not always bad though. Well, unless they have recently started being always bad [fear]

TooTicky · 16/01/2009 07:09

Stuffit, steer more carefully and you may just avoid it!

TooTicky · 16/01/2009 07:12
stuffitllama · 16/01/2009 07:15

it doesn't sound right to me

TooTicky · 16/01/2009 07:16
stuffitllama · 16/01/2009 07:17

sorry mango I am not paying attention
I hope your situation works out
are you on fb?

mangolassi · 16/01/2009 07:21

Yoga is lovely, I'd really recommend it... I'm sure I've read on mn of people using it to combat SPD-type stuff.

My old boss has scoliosis and avoided scary back surgery by taking up yoga

mangolassi · 16/01/2009 07:24

I am on fb but don't know how to get connected with all you mn / veggy types. How do I do it?

stuffitllama · 16/01/2009 07:38
