ILike, I am doing a degree in Occupational therapy (first year) and my placement is within a Handtherapy OT department! It's totally fab! And after having some doubts the recent weeks , i.e. if I am doing the right thing, and should I not just go back into nursing (the easier option in the short term), etc...but, I now know again why I wanted to do it!
dooney...sounds a nightmare the constant periods...after ys was born and I stopped bf I had the implant fitted when my periods started again, and I started bleeding pretty constant, it was a mare, but I put up with it for 2 years, because it made me feel good and leveled moodwise. After I had it taken out went on minipill and no change, than went onto combi pill, still bleeding, but got, I felt murderous most of the month and just craved rubbish food, put on loads of weight due to lack of will power. I then just went off it, told dh to get his butt into gear to get the snip done ( he was all for it but than not doing anythiing towards it) and just refused sex until he sorted it out - he did take the piss out of me when I was so moody, which really upset me, because I just felt totally psycho, iykwm...! Since I stopped all it has gotten better with the bleeding! Thank god, because I was ready to ask for a histerectomy, but doubt I would have been given one anyway!
As for mirena coil, have heard very mixed things about that. People either love or hate it/have really good or bad experiences!
littlerach, do you use Quorn? Because I know vegetarians don't always eat it, due to genetic modification factor?
Tiny, your mirena story is shocking and scary...! A friend had a scary enough experience. Like with you they thought it was out, as they couldn't find it, she had lots of pain but they just thought it was pelvic inflammatory desease and treated for that! My friend was also trying for another Baby and just couldn't get pg. Well, it turned out, in the end, by a time where they were ready to go for IVF that the mirena coil had left the womb, but had moved into a cavity in the lower body, giving her infact pelvic inflammatory desease and also meant that the hormones were still in her bloodstream, and hence she couldn't get pg! It had to be surgically removed and luckily she healed well and fell pg soon after....but that story was teh one that put me off the most, I suppose...until I heard your!
Franny lol at the japanese sweety discription!
Sorry to hear about ds2's eczema and sore bum....not easy to deal with! [hugs] oh and have heard good things about that coloidal silver stuff!
Avi, for that theory of connection between eczema and asthma...don't think it can be denied as such....but I think, and I have not done proper research so am possibly wrong, is that both are conditions which are from within, and often because of our clean and hygienic status and our system not having to fight constantly, it decides to get busy and attack itself. There was an interesting documentary a few years ago, saying that it could be because we are wormfree, forinstance....obviously some worms are seriously harful, but I think it was ringworm or some harmless but disgusting kind of worm used to treat, and asthma etc, disappearred. They found the rise in asthma/eczema in 3. world country since worming programmes, etc...
pointy, stay,AND IT WILL make ENCOURAGE you to eat more f&v

anyway dh is away with TA for the weekend, but he peed me off today, so good he is gone, lol....I asked him, specifically, to call a school, where es did a course and the plan says it is on and he [ds] says it is finished. I tried and could not get through so asked dh to ask...he did not just forget, he fell asleep on the sofa as soon as he hit the sofa after work and picking kids up from school...also, we ecided last night what we will have t eat and what kids are having, and he was all, I thought you were getting stuff shopping...and well, not true...and he just hates to be wrong so he will deny anything tpo the point him Knowing what was said wasn't and knowing I am the one saying the right thing but him saying "nope, that is not what we said"....really pisses me off, because I start secondguessing and wondering if I am going nuts
rant over!
