For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

The film was hard for me to watch too and I was glad to be distracted by the locations - I saw some of it being filmed and it's always nice to see places you know in films.

Helloooo. I have started drinking early because thank fuck it is friday except the weekend is vair busy and I am pretending I have time to sit here.

I was up at 6am for a run today.

Dcs are eating sprats and salad. I am having chicken with mozarella and basil and tomato with broccoli.

Baby skin thing sound horrible. Ds2 got it bad on and on. Tried to control it with my diet but not sure if it really helped.

Guadalupe · 16/01/2009 18:59

Oh, noooooo

No, no no, nooooooo. You'll ave it early no doubt.

TooTicky · 16/01/2009 19:00

Sorry
amm feeling vaguely panicky this evreniong. Too much adrenalin in the air or the water or something.

FrannyandZooey · 16/01/2009 19:00

FK how hard is this age? I don't envy you. I think school makes them very tired. He's a smashing little boy and it will all come out in the wash, but it is so hard in the meantime. I found a course by the Family Caring Trust people really useful when ds1 was about the same age. I don't know if they run anything near you - it's all about understanding behaviour and managing it in a child centred way. Kind of firm but gentle.

FrannyandZooey · 16/01/2009 19:01

TooT don't worry! I was just mucking about
tell me if you don't get my email
try to relax and do something pleasant
hug a child or summat

TooTicky · 16/01/2009 19:03
