For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

And my god OB that sounds like hell. That roundabout terrifies me at the best of times and today it will be full of irate and frantic Christmas shoppers. I wish you strength.

littlerach · 20/12/2008 11:10

Anyone want to cheer me up today ?

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 20/12/2008 11:25

what's up LitteRach??

TinyWhiteFeather · 20/12/2008 11:30

Pink, will look at thread when the DC's aren't screaming in my ear. Thank-you for the recommendation

Sickness has subsided but do feel a bit floaty, think I might have caught it in time. No chance of going back to bed. {{hugs}}.

We rent of our neighbours and they brought a disguting exterior christmas light and wanted us to put it on the chimney, so we look really naff. I keep hoping the rain will short-circuit it (humbug).

LR, what's up? Lots of and 'cheering up hugs'.

littlerach · 20/12/2008 11:39

Bit lonely actaully.

TinyWhiteFeather · 20/12/2008 11:50

Happy Birthday SB

Oh, I am so sorry littlerach. That is a dreadfull feeling. Is there someone you can ring to talk to? Family or a friend? Can you go somewhere public where you might see people you know and can have a chat? Keep posting on here so you are not totally alone, it sometimes cheers me up.
Please accept a {{hug}}.

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 20/12/2008 12:04

pinkspottywellies · 20/12/2008 13:09

((((((((littlerach))))))))

We've had bacon, avocado and tomato bagels. I had over half an avocado

MangeTooT · 20/12/2008 13:16

I bought a pack of 3 reduced avocadoes recently. I had two in one meal

pinkspottywellies · 20/12/2008 13:43

We're just watching Something Special (with all the signing and Justin and Mr Tumble). I'm trying to encourage dd to sign but she just rolls her hands for every word (like wind the bobbin up) and says the word. I'm PMSL. They look for something too and say 'when you see it wave or cheer' (very accessible) and she points and says 'here'. I just said to DH I hope we don't have a deaf baby who she has to learn to communicate with !

littlerach · 20/12/2008 14:28

Feeling less rubbish

Still here if you ever want me though.

WHAT a day to run out of loo rolls!! Had to go to Sainspoos and it was mayhem

MangeTooT · 20/12/2008 15:53

Ds1 is in stitches; dd1 is reading Joyce Grenfell to him. I LOVE it that my children have unconventional tastes

SuperBunny · 20/12/2008 17:43

Afternoon.

Thanks mou. LR, I'm feeling a bit blue today, tired and grouchy and ungrateful and am not entirely sure why but it is pissing me off. Anyway, went sledding this morning which was fab.

PSW, hope you don't catch the flu that DH has.

Toot, do try to work out how to stop hurting your teeth in the night. My sister broke one of hers by grinding it too much. Hope the DIY toe remedy is helping.

Good lukk OB

MangeTooT · 20/12/2008 18:19

at sledding. I haven't done that since I was about 9.

Sorry you're feeling down

I don't think I grind my teeth, just clench them. Ds1 used to though and chipped one.
It hurts though.

littlerach · 20/12/2008 18:22

I od that Tooticky and get a very achey jaw.
Sometimes I have to consciusly let my jaw hang down and I am clenching.
Usually in fornt of laptop or when asleep actually.

Hey SB, let's be blue otgether

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 20/12/2008 18:37

I'm just creeping in to sit quietly in the corner of the yurt for 10 mins. I have 8 boys in the (small) house, for ds'1's birthday treat. They are between 8 and 12 and the noise is unblelievable.....
we've been to the cnema and they are tucking into pizza and chips and just SHOUTING!!!!
