For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I think you need to see a GP TooT and they will give you chemically sounding powders and creams

Guadalupe · 19/12/2008 23:05

Guadalupe · 19/12/2008 23:05

MangeTooT · 19/12/2008 23:07

Eeeeew, no! Well, not that bad anyway. Probably not

Pink, I would love to but the new look scrabble won't bloody well load for me

Guadalupe · 19/12/2008 23:07

this?

MangeTooT · 19/12/2008 23:09

Oh that is vile
No, thank goodness.

MangeTooT · 19/12/2008 23:19

Have you run out of scary pictures? Or are you sitting petrified with horror in front of an iffy foot website? Do you need rescuing? Shall I send in the goat?

Boco · 19/12/2008 23:38

Oh My Good LOrd in Heaven! Guad those are the worst links I've ever seeen, why did i open them!?

Toot, you must use chemicals, artificial, strong, powerful and industrial if necessary, but if you have a hole in your foot that smells, this is no time for eco sensibilities or ETHICS dammit.

pinkspottywellies · 19/12/2008 23:49

Oh Boco you didn't open them! Crazy fool.

pinkspottywellies · 19/12/2008 23:49

Oh Boco you didn't open them! Crazy fool.

SuperBunny · 19/12/2008 23:59

Your friend has invited you over for a bath, TooT? How unusual yet amazingly lovely.

Those foot links are revolting. No idea why I opened them - I knew they'd be unpleasant.

Bad 10/10 day/ week, bad skin, have period for the second time this cycle and am on the pill so really shouldn't. Am sure none of you wanted to know that but it is odd and I am not sure what to do, if anything. Does one usually bleed at the wrong time when on the pill? It's never happened before (not counting the one a couple of weeks ago)

Toot, can your homeopathy lady not give you something? A hole wouldn't worry me but the smell does. I don't want your foot to drop off.

poinsettia99divine · 20/12/2008 01:21

Oh Guad, horrid pictures! When I was about 13 I had a verucca looked like the second picture I picked it out with a safety pin my feet are lovely now

TooT - get some powder! Strong and efficacious!

SuperBunny · 20/12/2008 01:27

Daisy, bleurgh

TinyWhiteFeather · 20/12/2008 08:16

I am not loking at Guads skanky feet pictures...not even curious.

Toot, have you ever come across coloidal silver?...absolutely amazing for curing most minor skin ailments, (and magical on burns).

Helloooo, I still feel a bit sick. Might be the onset of a migraine. Which I don't need right now. Am drinking copious amounts of water. and have taken painkillers

Cheerful though.... luvverly day to all...xxxx

pinkspottywellies · 20/12/2008 08:55

DH is staying in bed again he's going to end up feeling all super fabby with his painkillers and abs and by Christmas I will feel crap cause I've had no sleep and my throat hurts and now I've got ear ache and I'm being horrible to dd cause I'm tired and my tooth hurts

I was up very late last night. Silly. Got more wrapping done. Still not finished though!

Mou, I found this thread last night. I linked to your weight loss one and talked about some food/exercise stuff but thought you might like to post about the emotional/motivation stuff.

Going out for Xmas do tonight. Have been avoiding looking in wardrobe. I have a nice dress but think I may be lacking shoes. Dammit, if I'd thought earlier I could have borrowed some off SIL.

OsmosisFaLaLaLaLa · 20/12/2008 09:47

Poor you Pink. Very tedious when the menfolk are unwell.

Hangover gone. Am planning 4 days of really healthy non fattening food in a 4 day pre-xmas panic.

Lots of hot n sour soup and chickpeas on the horizon!

Dh is dropping me off at my car and towing me home. This is Really Bad. It is parked at a big shopping / industrial estate which is also right by an enormouus Tesco, which is also by a bit of a nightmare roundabout..... And it is leaking petrol... hopefully someone will trhow a lit something at it and put the poor little wagon out of it's misery. Hmmm, that could work out rather badly if I am having to steer and control the fucker.

How bad can it be?

pinkspottywellies · 20/12/2008 09:47

Just having a blub over the Christmas appeal thank you thread I've not been involved but think I will make the effort next year.

FrayedKnot · 20/12/2008 10:40

I'm not sure I've a hope of catching up but I can smell something a bit cheesy

FrayedKnot · 20/12/2008 10:43

Sorry I think it's our sofa, not the thread

I am tiiiirrrred

And have to go out againt onight. Will lots of fruit help do you think?

MangeTooT · 20/12/2008 10:44

I have washed between my toes with tea tree shampoo and packed the gap with bicarb

Pink, hope you get some rest and that your tooth suddenly stops hurting. It seems to be a bad time of year for teeth, maybe the cold air stirs things up?

I thought I was having wisdom tooth trouble but think I may actually just be clenching my teeth very hard in my sleep. Have done this before but can't remember how I stopped.

Feather, hope you don't get a migraine!! Can you go back to bed?

MangeTooT · 20/12/2008 10:46

FK, eat fruit.

SB, you are in synch with me.

MangeTooT · 20/12/2008 10:47

Actually, eat mixed sprouts. They are blooming amazing.
