he is likely to be admitted for observation and tweaking of his meds by his cardiomogist at hospital a few miles away. if she feels that dh needs to be seen at harefield then they'll transfer him again.

keep telling me good things sally

I am absolutly petrified of transplant but know this is dh only real hope of having a normal life, but it is such a major thing to be done. and it wont last forever . (well not forever, but his life expentancy will be shorter).

Misdee - you're right of course - it won't last forever but if he can get a new heart it'll give him the chance to see your girls grow and just think what they might be able to do medically in a few short years time. I know its exchanging one set of problems for a different set but I have everything crossed that a transplant will happen for your dh.

GP has called. dh is to increase his dose of frusimide to se eif that takes the fluid away. he has been dashing to the loo every 15-30mins since so they must be working a bit. he has a full check up on monday at harefield with tests etc, so will find out then if he needs to be re-admitted.

dh went to harefield this morning for an 11.30 appointment. they have said to come back at 2pm as they dont need to do any tests. so he has gone for a pub lunch with his mum. maybe he'll get the ham egg and chips he has been craving since he was in hospital last time

OP posts:
misdee · 14/03/2005 17:12

he has been re-admitted to harefield as of tonight to sort out his fluid retention problem.
