dh is stil lwating to find out whats happening. he has had the sngiogram today, said it was horrible and took 2hrs start to finish this time instead of 45mins. his INR level was too high, so he bleed a bit, they had problems with the local anasthetic, and he could feel a lot more this time. So he isnt a happy man.

i cant get to see him tomorrow, as his mum is working and my parents are on holiday again.

Sounds painful, misdee. I hope you can get over there soon to be with him.

Sorry for hijacking your thread for a while. Your unruly sister is very funny. Sounds like you two have a great relationship.

I hope you can do your bit to nag her out of the Way of the Fag.

So, did you pass your theory ? And are you going for an auto or manual licence ?

£400 sounds excellent value for an intensive zero to pass type teaching package. Cheaper than my mate's wife (she estimates 30 odd hours).

Enjoy the new smoke-free, uniform wearing Sparkly taxi service until you get your pass ! Good luck.

sparklymieow · 18/03/2005 23:14

Hey I ain't unruly!!! [sulk]

hub2dee · 18/03/2005 23:29

Like your sister said, sparklym: "Get your own thread".

So unruly that girl, misdee. Sorry.

Get to bed, sparkly. You'll need your sleep to feel good tomorrow.

misdee · 21/03/2005 07:30

dh is still there. he is having an exercise test today, so they have it officially on reocrd how little he can do.

hi misdee, how are you coping at home on your own ?
Will you be able to go and see dh today ?

hub2dee · 21/03/2005 08:53

That can only be good for his case, misdee.

Thinking of the both of you.

misdee · 21/03/2005 10:10

i'm going to see him this afternoon with dd3. dd1+2 are still both ill so cant take them in.

OP posts:
hub2dee · 21/03/2005 18:09

How was he, misdee ?

misdee · 21/03/2005 20:51

looking better. they have increased his dirutics again and added some more meds as he gained 2kg in 24hrs. they are trying to get this under control with meds. but he'll be in for a while longer (could be a week, could be a month)

OP posts:
egypt · 21/03/2005 21:02

glad he is looking better misdee. hugs xx

Cadmum · 21/03/2005 21:36

misdee:
I just found this thread because I checked on active threads; there is not much that I could say to help as I can only imagine what your family is going through. I am praying that your dh will be blessed with a heart really soon.
And to think I was feeling sorry for myself because my mum is in hospital following an open-heart-op to replace a valve and is not recovering as quickly as we would have liked...
She is also having trouble with retained fluid. I am not certain what meds they are using to try and control it but they are not working and her kidneys are now at risk.
You are a pilar of strength. I wish you all the very best.

misdee · 21/03/2005 21:37

cadmum, i hope they sort out the fluid soon. where abouts is your mum hospital wise?

OP posts:
Cadmum · 22/03/2005 19:20

I am in Canada. They did a tap yesterday to drain her chest cavity and so far they have drained more than 2.5 Litres...She is far more comfortable this morning but no sign of being ready to return home.
How is your DH? How are you holding up?

highlander · 22/03/2005 19:30

where abouts are you in Canada Cadmum? I'm in Vancouver if that's any use.

misdee · 23/03/2005 22:14

another problem. the last 2 nights between the hrs of 3-5am, dh heartbeat has been rather erratic. so we have been told that a pacemaker may be fitted. they say its a tempory problem as he'll only have his heart for a short while hopefully.

OP posts:
hub2dee · 24/03/2005 00:09

Oh, misdee, you must be a stressed out bunny.

Sending you a hug via the North London RSPCA hospital so it has double intensity.

Cadmum · 24/03/2005 01:09

I am so sorry to hear of your dh's recent set-back. I don't know much about pace-makers so I am not helpful at addressing any of your concerns. (I saw your other thread.) My mum actually has an external pace-maker at the moment but it is not working effectively. (Probably because of the fluid build-up.) She is back to feeling poorly and her kineys are now a worry as well.

Highlander: I am in Victoria. Thanks anyway!
