his ankles are still swollen, as is his belly. usually they go down overnight.

dd1 is gonna be really upset if her daddy goes away again, and dd2 will just ignore him again. we've only just got her back to giving him cuddles, she is sooo confused poor love.

misdee - it is really tough on you all - hopefully the transplant will come soon.

good luck with the driving.

Having a good cry now and again can help release the tension - don't try to be superhuman.

noddyholder · 10/03/2005 08:50

misdee ahve just seen this hope you get the news you are hoping for soon.Have you told the doctor about the fluid? that amount is a lot and like you said usually goes down overnight I pray he is near the top of the list xx

misdee · 10/03/2005 08:52

GP is coming round at lunchtime. if he feels its nesscery he will phone dh cardiologist and get him admitted to hospital if there is a bed available, or will get him emergency appointment at the very least.

OP posts:
noddyholder · 10/03/2005 08:54

that is something Good luck with the driving it would really help you after the transplant too as the 1st 3 months involve lots of trips to hospital. Can he walk around at all with the fluid retention or is he v breathless?

misdee · 10/03/2005 08:55

very breathless. he can just about move from the bedroom to the kitchen (under 10metres) to get his meds.

OP posts:
misdee · 10/03/2005 08:56

and being selfish again, he better get high rate care for this, as the cost of transport and hospital trips etc is very draining on the bank balence.

OP posts:
noddyholder · 10/03/2005 09:00

I would think he will be high priority then Keeping my fingers crossed for you today xxI am off on a reiki course this morning and I will ask the master to send you some distant healing xx

misdee · 10/03/2005 09:09

he is also sleeping lots.

we have holiday booked for end of may, and have also got tickets for Green Day gig in june. really dont want to miss either of these. and the green day thing i can only go with dh as its in diabled section. unless mieows ds likes greenday. could flog the tickets on ebayi suppose if dh cant go.

Potty1 · 10/03/2005 09:21

Hope your GP can help misdee (is this the good one?), and that at your appointment next week brings good news.

This must be so stressful for you misdee - you're doing great, hang in there.

misdee · 10/03/2005 09:23

no idea what GP will show up. am hoping its the one who came out last time. think he works thursdays, so it could well be him.

OP posts:
Snugs · 10/03/2005 09:46

So sorry to hear the news misdee.

Fingers, toes (and everything else vaguely flexible enough) crossed that GP can get bed organised. I know it is even more difficult for you when he is away, but at least it would mean he is getting continual treatment (and hopefully moving up that list).

My mums a Reiki Master - with your permission I will ask her to add your dh to healing list.

hunkermunker · 10/03/2005 09:52

Oh honey, I'm so sorry to hear this Huge hugs to you all xxxxxxxxxxx

misdee · 10/03/2005 10:09

i have no idea how reiki works, but anything positive is good in my eyes. so yes i give my permission.

OP posts:
misdee · 10/03/2005 12:23

GP has been. he is going to call dh cardiologist and see what needs to be done. he thinks they may be looking at incresing his frusimide or ramipril. not sure if this means dh will be re-admitted to hospital, but i think he will be as they'll want to measure what fluid he is putting out.

OP posts:
sparklymieow · 10/03/2005 12:25

are you ready to go out then dear?

bonym · 10/03/2005 20:39

misdee - just seen this - sorry your dh has gone downhill again . How are you coping? It must be a complete nightmare for you trying to look after everyone atm - I imagine you must be exhausted just with looking after Serena, let alone everyone else. Sending you

misdee · 10/03/2005 22:00

i am getting increasingly worried about dh. he really isnt well, and am beginning to hope that a transplant ASAP to give him the best chance. i dont know what will happen if he isnt phyically strong to cope with the op.

DD3 is having to have a scan done when she is 11 weeks old on her kidneys and bladder, plus a hearing check, and want dh to be with me. he absolutly adores dd3, he really belives he wont be here to see the girls grow up. Trying to be positive. but its hard.

SenoraPostrophe · 10/03/2005 22:04

Oh missdee.

You are amazing, do you know that? I would have fallen apart (and I mean fallen apart) in your position.

I really hope that a transplant or whatever your dh needs happens soon
