Not good new regarding Peter

I am sobbing as i type this.

Peter is very ill. there is some damage to his brain, there is a real possibility he wont recover completly this time. The peter I married appears to have gone. Sometimes he comes back, its very distressing.

Hospital team are having a meeting on thursdasy to discuss emergency transplant list. He may be suspended for a few weeks, but as yet we dont know.

I have been told he may not get through transplant as he is very very ill. but for now we need to try and stay positive. Its very hard.

I havent told the children, i cant.

I want a happy ending, but its so far out of reach.

Cant think of anything to help im afraid, just to let you know we're thinking of you and your family.
I have had a husband spaced out on wierd drugs & v confused, I know that that in itself is upsetting, as you can;t talk to him about it rationally and feel a bit on your own -youve got all of mumsnet behind you though Glad to hear there is some sign of improvement.

Sounds like he should be on urgent list - bit surprised he hasnt been already really. The amount of time he has been waiting is awful.

I know its not any help, but just to say I sympathise, and really feel for you. Watching is a v hard thing to do. This is a cruel disease and the way its panned out just seems to compound that v unfairly and unecessarily.

Having said all that, knowing what you've done with your kids, the blogs & films & publicity, I know you are one of the strongest and most resourceful people around. Somehow you WILL carry on.

Things can only get better, hang on in there, they'd better bloody well soon if there's any justice,

Don't know what to say but didn't want to leave without saying anything. I've followed your families story for ages and keep thinking the call will come for Peter one day. I hope that day is very soon and he gets the new heart he so deserves.

Misdee, I am glad there is some improvement however small. Hold on to that. I hope and pray things start to improve very soon x

am off to the hospital after dropping the girls off at school. hopefully will see some more improvment today.

my thoughts are with you and your family, hoping you make the most of the support being offered to you as being strong for your family is wearing, dont forget to take care of yourself.

Misdee, so sorry to hear your news on Peter but it sounds like there is some improvement which is good to hear. I'll be thinking of you over the next three weeks and let's hope he continues to get better and can go onto the emergency list.

BTW it's really difficult to find your updates Misdee in amongst all the lovely supportive posts. Would you consider setting up a new thread just for updates? Just a suggestion.

Misdee - just read your blog and watched the youtube clip and am crying as I type this. You are an amazing person to live with this, look after your girls and care for Peter. I will pray for you at church this week and hope that you have some positive news soon. God Bless.
