Not good new regarding Peter

I am sobbing as i type this.

Peter is very ill. there is some damage to his brain, there is a real possibility he wont recover completly this time. The peter I married appears to have gone. Sometimes he comes back, its very distressing.

Hospital team are having a meeting on thursdasy to discuss emergency transplant list. He may be suspended for a few weeks, but as yet we dont know.

I have been told he may not get through transplant as he is very very ill. but for now we need to try and stay positive. Its very hard.

I havent told the children, i cant.

I want a happy ending, but its so far out of reach.

Misdee - I'll mention it to my mum to see if we can donate her organs - though a nearly 87 year old heart really wouldn't last too long, would it? Also she has other health issues so I'll see what the consultant says to my dm.

I don't think I've posted on one of your threads before - as someone below said - it's so hard not to sound trite. I'm so sorry to hear that it's not good news at the moment - but he is in the best possible place.
Wishing and hoping and praying for you and please take up the MNers who've offered you support - stay strong.

Right, what i have so far is this. it has suffered a bleed in the brain, not a clot this time. they are suspending him from the list for a minimum of 3 weeks, to allow him time to recover and gain some strength back from this bleed, and then will be put on the urgent list for a heart. which means that hopefully by the end of the holidays this journey will be moving onto the next stage, whatever that will be. He will not be discharged before he gets a heart, so his home is back at hospital.
