smee · 05/10/2012 13:10

Topsy, it's your birthday. Go pour yourself a glass. Did you have good pressies??

KurriKurri · 05/10/2012 13:20

Sorry about all the luff topsy, I started it Blush Promise to have a day when I shout 'poo' at everyone tomorrow. Grin

Cake is cooling and will be added to fbs when iced. The debate here is milk or white chocolate buttons to decorate.

Grin at nipples story smee

KurriKurri · 05/10/2012 13:49

Both Gigs - you can never have too many kinds of chocolate Grin

graciesmall09 · 05/10/2012 16:23

Very, very late to this but wishing gigs and topsy a fabulous birthday.

smee Grin at nipples.

otm your DH knows how to woo a girl. Like you I think I would give the blood donation a pass. Thanks but no thanks Grin.

motown hello and welcome. Sorry I can't answer your Tamoxifen question, I only started mine on Monday so not sure what is in store for me.

Sometimesiwonder · 05/10/2012 20:55

I know this is a monumentally boring post but humour me a second - I've just saved 130 quid on my car insurance and I'd do the shocked face but I don't have squarey brackets on my phone

KurriKurri · 05/10/2012 20:58

Wow - that's good, - are you looking for someone to give the £130 to? WinkGrin

graciesmall09 · 05/10/2012 21:27

£130 WOW, it would be a shame not to spend it on something nice now.

Just thinking earlier baskets has been missing a while. Hope you are ok.

smee · 05/10/2012 21:29

I'll take it off your hands, sometimes. Grin

NedSchneebly · 05/10/2012 21:49

I could use £130 towards the new Nedmobile sometimes ?

Grin at smee 's nipple story! Good for DS thAt he is so laid back about it!

Welcome motown haven't personally experienced rash on tamoxifen, but anything is possible. Get it checked out with GP or BCN. It's not worth stressing over, when it could easily be put right.

gracie well done for getting going on the tamoxifen. Hope the first few days have been s/e free for you x x

kurri how's you doing, love? We love a bit of luff here Smile Meant to ask - any plans for driving test soon? Take it easy if you're practicing in all this rain.

topsy and gig hope you have both had a lovely day. What nice pressies?

MAS get those last tablets down you, then you're off the hook for a few days. Support group sounds like a positive thing to do - might be helpful for getting your head around everything. So much has happened in such a short time, it's not surprising your head is spinning with it all. Be good to yourself, and take it easy. And don't ever feel bad about people showing you love and caring about you. You deserve every bit of it, and we luffs you hugely x x x

Am trying to concentrate on Samuel L Jackson film DH is watching. . . Not entirely sure what is going on, except that they all say "fuck" a lot. . . And take drugs. . . And shoot people. . . Not much more to it than that, I don't think.

graciesmall09 · 05/10/2012 21:58

ned sure it is all excitement getting the new wheels on Monday. No s/e so far although I am not sleeping well at all not sure if it is the tablets or my chesty cold

mas hope you are enjoying your stout.

Off to bed now to try and catch up on some sleep.

KurriKurri · 05/10/2012 22:12

ned - I am good and sending out the luuuurve vibes today. I have my first proper lesson on tuesday (have been doing lots of driving with DH) so I'll see what the instructor says regarding test timescale. I'm a bit nervous about the lesson - daft I know.

Just finished watching Strictly, - I like a bit of ruffles and sequins. Going to do a little bit more on my textile picture then bed.

Old lady dog helped with my artwork by arranging my fabrics in a heap and then weeing on them Hmm - She would like to be one of those artists that make pictures out of dung. Grin (fabrics now in the washing machine being de-weed)

graciesmall09 · 05/10/2012 22:17

Naughty old lady dog Grin - perhaps you weren't giving her enough attention.

MaryAnnSingleton · 06/10/2012 09:37

dear old lady dog, bless her. Parents cat has been weeing in dad's shoes so they have got a Feliway plug-in thing to help calm him (he is the one who is diabetic and lost loads of weight) Their other two cats are a bit nervy and one seems to prefer sitting outside in all weathers,so they're hoping for sensible behaviour.
Yes,where is baskets ?
Good luck with instructor kk - you'll soon be ready for your test,I bet !
Buy something nice with your saved money sometimes Smile
Hope birthday celebrations were fab topsy and smee
I am happy to be tablet free !! I have to say I did feel pretty rotten yesterday, combination of cold and feeling a bit bleugh..managed most of my stout- you can buy Guinness in screw top bottles so that's handy.

OP posts:
smee · 06/10/2012 10:01

Hooray for no tablets today, MAS. That deserves a Brew and a Biscuit. Are you still feeling bleurgh today? Stout works if you're not. Smile

Am piling paracetemol onto the fbt for our birthday girls. gig, topsy hope you're not feeling too shoddy. Grin

topsyturner · 06/10/2012 10:35

Off to take DD horse riding now , be back later .
But yeah for you Mas for no more tablets
And I hope Gigs had a good night !

KurriKurri · 06/10/2012 11:05

Morning all - fabric washed and fragrant again, old lady dog forgiven and curled up on her favourite old sleeping bag with a doggy yogurt drop or two Smile

Hooray for finishing the tabs MAS, hope you start feeling better soon, and less bleurgh. Guinness in screw top bottles eh? - very interesting

Hope the birthday girls are not too delicate today, - we all be very quiet and tiptoe around Grin

Smee - are you working or having a break for the weekend? Meant to say that the glasses DS is getting sound great, - it is fascinating how those coloured overlays help children with dyslexia, - hope they are just the ticket for him, - and he will of course look very cool Smile

I'm in all day waiting for a parcel to arrive (I did next day delivery) for DH's birthday. It's a bird feeding station, which I think he will like, - he's very keen on feeding the garden birds. Have also bought him a CD which arrived this morning.

When I had lunch out last week, I had a bowl of cauliflower and cheddar soup It was lovely, so I'm going to try to recreate it for supper tonight. With chunks of crusty bread - yum!

Have a good weekend all Smile

smee · 06/10/2012 11:26

Glad old lady dog forgiven and fragrant, Kurri. Yes am working. So much to do, haven't a clue how it'll get done. Present for DS sounds good. I might get one of those for my DS for Christmas, as he likes the garden birds too. Mind you so does the cat. Shock

If you successfully recreate the soup let us know how. Sounds delish.. Smile

Gigondas · 06/10/2012 11:49

Had lovely meal out at my favourite restaurant with dsis and bil- complete surprise from dh Grin. And had yummy pear and prosecco cocktail .

kurri glad old lady dog out dog house- I think there is a Jamie Oliver recipe for that soup . Let me know if nice as dh loves cauliflower .

Hands topsy spare anti sick meds. Good night for you birthday twin ?Grin

mas glad today a little better- just not having to take tablets is a boost (about to take last steroid in a sec Grin).

Easy day here tho as was quite a late night (and early night - thanks mini gig)

smee · 06/10/2012 12:18

Ooh, how lovely gig. Shame about little gig waking you so early though. I always think children should be fitted with an 'off' switch at birth. It could be rationed so you can only use it occasionally. Just think how much money you'd make if you could invent that. Grin

KurriKurri · 06/10/2012 12:26

What a lovely birthday treat Gig Smile - you have a very thoughtful DH.

I will check out Jamie Oliver - see if I can find a recipe, it really was lovely soup - very creamy and tasty.

Isn't it strange how babies can be up all night, and when you all get up in the morning, you are completely shattered, and they are full of beans as if they'd slept for hours?

Dh has gone off to band Q - a store he finds very exciting to buy paint for DD's bedroom - trying to match a shade of earthy yellow which we used ten years ago is not that easy!

KurriKurri · 06/10/2012 12:27

B and Q - not band Q (although that is a good name for a band)

Actually he's just come in again - he got 100 yards down the road and one of the tyres exploded!

graciesmall09 · 06/10/2012 14:58

Glad birthday girls had good night and are not suffering too much. Shame littlegigs got up early although pretty good excuse for relaxing today.

Yay for tablet free mas enjoy your week off and I hope your begin to feel a bit better soon.

Shock at your DH's tyre exploding kurri. He was very lucky he wasn't further from home or going at a higher speed.

smee don't be working too hard.

waves to anyone else around today. Be back later must do some dusting.
