Yay for Topsy's tap. Things like kitchen taps a real nuisance when not working. Sorry Worried still waiting. Not sure bout answer to qu. Leave for others as in a rush now.

smee · 12/07/2012 12:43

Worried, ring them !! Seriously it's ridiculous you having all this worry. You're not being a PITA at all.

Waving to Baskets. Your eye problems sound painful. Hope new glasses help. Do you think they will? Have a nice time in Perth.[wmile]

Yay indeed for Topsy's tap. Smile

smee · 12/07/2012 12:44

Piff... pressed post before had said to Gig, blood transfusion sounds heavy duty. I didn't know you have to do that too. Is that every time, or just because your levels are so low?

worriedworried · 12/07/2012 12:57

Just phoned hospital as I'm a PITA and I know it Smile

They had sent my results but they haven't got to me yet. The lump is a fibroadenoma, so completely benign, and they don't need to do anything further. Tank feckety feck for that, I'm so relieved I had a little cry Blush

They also say because of my family history (which is quite bad) they would like to refer me to their family history assessment clinic to help them decide if I should be put on a more regular programme of mammograms than the regular one (I'm ten years off the age for 'officially' having my first).

Am crossing everything and hoping the best news for all others waiting today x x x

smee · 12/07/2012 13:18

YEAY..!! Worried, that's brilliant. Smile Smile

badtasteflump · 12/07/2012 13:27

Thank you Smee Smile

badtasteflump · 12/07/2012 13:28

Oh feck it just outed myself now I've namechanged back Blush Grin

Gigondas · 12/07/2012 13:29

GrinGrin for worried (and topsy tap).

smee blood just pre cautionary as was getting low so want to preempt me going too anaemic. I hope not every time as glad am not only squeamish one mas.

Baby doc (who looks a bit Robert pattinson for you who like such things) also told me that evidence transfusion can help chemo effectiveness as good blood levels get the hard stuff working.

Enjoy Perth basket

autumn thinking of you .

Gigondas · 12/07/2012 13:30

We will keep your secret Wink

badtasteflump · 12/07/2012 13:32

Smile I've done this before - I once tried to namechange to ask if anyone knew what a spot in an embarrassing place might be, but didn't manage to do it properly Blush

MaryAnnSingleton · 12/07/2012 13:55

arf @ worried and hooray !!!!!

Waves to baskets
Thank goodness the tap is in topsy - saw it on fb and it looks mighty fine
gig I had a horrid experience as a 6 year old with a blood transfusion- I was told by nurse to keep really still so it wouldn't fall down, which it did, covering my bed in blood which nearly gave my dad a heart attack when he came to visit.

OP posts:
Gigondas · 12/07/2012 14:02

That's my nightmare - I was watching nurse put it in and was letting blood flow down line before put it in.. Boak. Also had history of fainting when giving blood etc.

Feeling bit brighter now which maybe cos have loaded me with pre meds for chemo so will be all twitchy with topsy. In fact if we got our camo on and some face paint (ESP with my new hair), we could be extras in one of those films about vietnam where they imply all the soldiers were wired up on drugs.

MaryAnnSingleton · 12/07/2012 14:13

Grin @ your Vietnam film extras !
I faint at blood tests and minor surgery- even blood related words set me off,as Tamoxifen old hands will testify.

smee · 12/07/2012 14:27

Gig, makes sense to not risk anaemia, though I think I'd find it yuk too. Is it through yet? You need to get your commando gear on. Something tells me Topsy will be into it. Grin

Sometimesiwonder · 12/07/2012 14:35
