Yes sweet dreams tonight MAS x

Amber so sorry you had such a horrible experience. Hope you are feeling more peaceful now at home. Lots of love to you x

Hugs and no-sickness wishes for Topsy, Gigs & Gracie xxx

Am sat here for the first time ever 'waiting up' for DS1 who is on a school theatre trip to London! Due back 10.30pm. I can remember admonishing my mum "Oh, just go to bed, mum!" but think I was at least a teenager. He's just 12 - will be knackered tomorrow!

Baskets45 · 11/07/2012 22:44

xpost with LJ. Yes,at 12 it is a very late night esp at end of term too. I tried telling my boys how mums can't jsut go to sleep when children out late, and under your roof too. It's much better when they go off to college and you don't know where they are, who theyare with etc .... Hope he's home soon and had fab time. What were they seeing?

Baskets45 · 11/07/2012 22:44

Sleep well, everyone

LimeJellyforBrains · 11/07/2012 22:59

Shrek the Musical! Grin

Meant to say for Ned - I experienced incredible tiredness doing rads. Could hardly keep my eyes open by teatime. Slept incredibly deeply - no dreams and nothing woke me. I even Blush wet the bed one night, I was so unable to wake up Blush again. Another night DH was out and forgot his keys. Neither the doorbell nor the phone woke me - DS1 woke up and let him in!

KurriKurri · 11/07/2012 23:01

night night all, - god luck for little sparkle's appointment xx

topsyturner · 11/07/2012 23:35

Goodnight Everyone .
Sleep tight .
Mind the bedbugs don't bite xxx

Gigondas · 12/07/2012 06:55

Still doing ok but did get some blood last night as although feel ok apparently was getting anaemic( first I knew of it). Hope gracie and topsy doing ok and autumn am thinking of you.

How are you today amber? And lj hope you got to bed on time.

Big waves and hugs to baskets - I a glad you lurk as look forward to your posts.

Right waiting to be prodded , return of chatty night nurse (after last time I feign sleep as cant face hearing more of her life story... We only got up to when her kids were 10 and they are about 30 now Grin).

smee · 12/07/2012 06:58

Smile Smile

Gig, hope you had a good night. You too, Gracie and Topsy. MAS, really hope you slept well too.

Amber today must be better, right? Sounds like you've been having a horrible time. xx

Ned rads is a full time job. Hugely time consuming and exhausting. I found a spectacularly good coffee shop near to the hospital, so that was my treat each day once I was through. Definitely helped. Smile

Kurri, I'd be useless at the driving theory thing. Can never fix things in my mind and would easily panic if it's about speed/ accuracy of response during the test. How's the shingles now? And how's your mum's leg?

Sparkle have you achieved global domination yet?? I do hope so. We should all be your lieutenants. Can I be in charge of lounging and restorative snacking? I reckon I'd be good at that. Grin

Worried hope you get results today. Not knowing even when they're going to get back to you is horrid.

Lime, did DS get back okay?? Have heard Shrek's fab. Is DS2 okay about his class next year now? Mine got his list yesterday. He's a bit miffed as more friends in the other class, and they got the teacher he wanted, but he's got a couple of friends and nice shiny newly qualified teacher, who seems v.sweet, so am sure he'll be fine. Smile

Been up since 5am. Shock No idea why. Just amazed to see blue skies I think. Wishing everyone a sunny day then . Especially thinking of Autumn. I'll take the weather as a good omen for you. Smile

smee · 12/07/2012 06:59

x-posted Gigs, Good Morning. Smile

Gigondas · 12/07/2012 07:24

Oh and ned as think I have said before I also felt more bone tired on rads than even when heavily pregnant and certainly more than chemo fatigue to date .

MaryAnnSingleton · 12/07/2012 07:37

morning ! very sunny here too -hooray ! not v nice dream but am ok.
Lots of good thoughts autumn and hope your anaemia is under control gig !

Hi everyone and thanks for messages Smile

It's lovely and sunny here today - just got to do the three hour countdown to the post today when I will probably find an excuse to nip out of work to check (again) Blush

Hope the sunshine finds you wherever you are today Smile

topsyturner · 12/07/2012 09:47

Morning All

Sunny here too !
And I had a good nights sleep (apart from getting up every hour to pee - what's that all about ?)

Still no sickness , woohoo !

Gig hope the blood helped and they don't want to keep you any longer !

Good luck to all those waiting for results today !

I have the nurse coming out this morning for dressing change and neulastic (sp) injection , and picc line cleaning .

Also we will finally get a working kitchen tap as the plumber is coming out today !

Good day all round Grin

smee · 12/07/2012 09:57

Gigondas · 12/07/2012 10:32

topsyturner · 12/07/2012 10:34

smee · 12/07/2012 11:04

Mine was a purely innocent question. It's your minds that made it filthy.

Gigondas · 12/07/2012 11:06

I on the other hand am feeling queasy after blood infusion - I hate blood so that in itself enough to make me sick.

topsy how would we know you were twitchy ( ducks flying bacon roll).

topsyturner · 12/07/2012 11:11
MaryAnnSingleton · 12/07/2012 11:20

Tap fixed !
Woohoo !!!

worriedworried · 12/07/2012 12:36

No results for me yet - just did my daily sneak home to check the post and nothing but a crappy bill Sad.

Would it be hassling the hospital to ring them and ask - or will that make me a PITA?

Baskets45 · 12/07/2012 12:38

Aw, sweet of you Gig to say you like my posts. I feel i don't 'sparkle' these days, or I try too hard cos i'm trying to overcome the overwhelming fatigue, brain fog etc. And my eyes are VERY uncomfortable esp in evenings - the eye drops help for minutes - so brief spells online suffice, and by the time I've read I can't remember what/if I wanted to comment on. Oy vay, such is my future it seems. i might ask doc about lubri something gel for nighttime use - was recommended by optician. I need to do a list and see a doc - see my thread about menopause. All sorts of un/lovely things going on here - ha ha!! I've orderd my new glasses,at last. Put out the flags!

But less of me. Glad you are coping in hosp, Gig, and have found a way to handle Chatty Nurse. I'm sure I never got it right as (night) nurse, either far too bloody chatty or dour to the point of unfriendly. Oh dear! I think I'd b a different nurse now that I've used medical services so liberally myself, a bit of experiential learning good for all, sadly.

I am reliably informed we're on 13.05 bus to the metropolis, well Perth, which these days has more closed shops than open ones , or so it seems. - ds3 needs shoes and needs his mammy's wallet. He has an art class there later so agood day for dealing with this. And I have money. Yay! I don't suppose I can put clothes over pjs?

Bye, all, and I've lit my cybercandle for those who need good luck vibes.
