Of course - more the merrier.

NedSchneebly · 12/07/2012 18:18

I love a bit of a good news on a wet Thursday! Yay, double yay and triple yay Grin indeed for autumn and worried - am so hugely thrilled for you both. Hope you both get a chance to celebrate tonight, you deserve it x x

topsy you've got the same kitchen tap as me! Clearly we both share the same impeccable taste. How are you feeling today?

gig how you doing this afternoon? OK, I hope. Hope DH is bringing you some tasty food parcels to make up for grotty hospital food?!

kurri Hope you are all set for theory test tomorrow. Got everything crossed for you x x

any news on gracie? Hope you're ok if you're lurking, love x x

Feeling a bit more knackered today. Got a little sore patch under my bra strap at the side, so hoping it won't get any worse. Radiologist said she'd keep an eye on it. My lovely dad came with me to the hospital to keep me company while I waited.

Will have a proper read and catch up properly later on x x

MaryAnnSingleton · 12/07/2012 18:21

I've just won a White Stuff competition - but can't use the prize (sadly not clothes) as will be on holiday (it's a night at a lovely surfy hotel on the beach at Newquay in Cornwall for 2 ) b&b with 2 tickets for some beach festival...have offered it to my SIL but in case they can't use it would any of you lovely lot like it ?? (presuming I am allowed to give it away !) it's Saturday 28th......

OP posts:
NedSchneebly · 12/07/2012 18:27

Gigondas · 12/07/2012 18:35

That's great mas. And sparkle dd letter is great.

kurri lots of luck tomorrow.

Am not feeling queasy ( my mum bought in a food flask -sometimes only your mum food will do) and dh bought stuff so ok. Just dog tired now.

Think dh more tired than me as mini gig had to show him she could hold her toes at 4.30 this morning.

MaryAnnSingleton · 12/07/2012 18:38

oh nothing skilful,'twas just luck !

KurriKurri · 12/07/2012 18:40

Just - got home and found lots of good news on this thread - brilliant and woohoo for Autumn, and flump "worried" Grin benign is such a great word to hear Smile

Waving to everyone else (and curtseying to Sometime' DD obviously) can't stay long - got to go and practice the theory stuff - I am getting very nervous, - I've no confidence at all - I've already planned in my head where I'm going to go for a consolatory massive mocha with cream on top and a large slice of walnut cake. Grin

topsy for God sake stop going on about your DH's tool, have you no shame woman? GrinEnvy

KurriKurri · 12/07/2012 18:43

Oh - yes to silk next to your skin if poss. ned, and congrats MAS on your win - it sounds lovely (unfortunately I am tied up on the 28th - it's DD's festival or else I would bite your hand off

Gigondas · 12/07/2012 18:47

topsy has gone AWOL- I suspect she is running amok on the khe sanh road before her next tour of duty.

Such wonderful news about Worried and Autumn. Have you been given a plan then, Autumn, for them taking away your lump? Hope it won't be too long to wait as I'm sure you want to get it done and dusted. Enough though tonight just to celebrate the good news, both of you. Good for Worried to get referred to the 'family unit' as they'll keep an extra eye on you and hopefully preempt any future problems.

Good to see you here, amber. Hope you are okay, and managing to get some 'own time' to process the stuff that has been happening.

The very best of luck for tomorrow, Kurri. I hope it goes well and you aren't too anxious. Having a cake plan for afterwards sounds very positive to me.

Smee, new glasses won't help eyes as such, (just means I ma 160 quid poorer and will ahve sunglasses for when it's fine enough to sit in garden and knit or read - i've never had prescription sunglasses since started with varifocal lenses so a BIG treat, and one that won't make me fat!!) but having test has reassured me that eyes are healthy and vision stable (my vision goes blurry at times but this is due to inadequate tear production, it seems).
The dry eyes problem goes with autoimmune conditions, i've had it for years, just lately it's got much worse and is a big nuisance now. Still, a few more things to try, then I'll have to just accept the situation it seems. Onward and upward.

All best wishes to everyone else too. Hope SometimesDD as impressedas us about letter. V exciting to get that kind of post. And Mas, shame you can't take up your prize - a jaunt o Cornwall would ahve been good, but still a heck of a distance even for you.

My eyes hurting so ought to get off PC. Maybe back later. Who knows!!

LimeJellyforBrains · 12/07/2012 22:10

Off to bed soon after the late night last night.

Just wanted to wish Kurri all the very best for tomorrow. Am sure you will be having a celebratory coffee & cake!

Autumn and Worried - fab news! Smile hope you are enjoying your Wine!

Well done Gig - nearly over again. Hope you can escape on time tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a lovely restful night, sweet dreams x

Woo-hoo and hip-hip for Autumn. Smile Smile Just logged in to see your news. Brilliant!!

Definitely stick around and you too Flump - though am not sure what to call you now. Grin

Kurri, you'll be fine tomorrow I know. Keep that finger calm and steady. If fingers can gabble, tell yours not to.

Hugs for Amber. Glad you're here. Take your time. Sounds like you've been going through it. Sad

You too, Baskets. Sorry to hear glasses won't help. Still, they sound rather glam, so maybe help in a perking you up sort of way??

Waving to Lime, MAS, Sparkle, Topsy, Ned and of course doffing my cap to Little Lady Sometimes.

Special G'night to Gig, I wish you a speedy escape tomorrow. x Smile

WhatALoadOfBollocks · 13/07/2012 00:15

hi all, haven't been here for a while So thought I'd check in.
Before I start, I must tell you I'm on my phone so may have typos etc, the laptop is broken because of water damage ok I may have spilt wine on it,but don't tell DH
haven't read everything that's been happening but I can see some yay's and some congrats going on so "yay and congrats to you people :)
Well.. I was supposed to go on we'd to get my biopsy results but I received a letter last fri saying my appt was tomorrow, so I rang to se what was happening, I didn't want to turn up on the wrong day!
The lady said my appt had been changed because my results were being discussed by the team on thurs so I can't be seen till the Friday.
This is where my major nervousness kicked in, I wasn't expecting anything to need to be "discussed" .
So now...I'm sat up freaking out completely and I think I need a slap to calm me down :) feel free everyone..
have to leave at 9 in the morn to get to hosp but will let you all know what happens.
Just want to say thankyou to everyone on here who has been so supportive etc to me since I first appeared here.
lots of love from
bollocks Grin

OneInEight · 13/07/2012 07:03

Bollocks - I think it is pretty standard for results to be discussed by the 'team' whether negative or positive so don't read anything sinister into that. They will need to evaluate all the different tests you have done together. Good-luck for today - will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Autumn and Flump - congratulations on benign results - what a relief.

Sometimes - I saw the Queen yesterday from my lab window - well I glimpsed a bit of pink and saw lots of flashes from cameras as she arrived to open the Q.E. hospital. Bet your daughter is delighted with her letter.

Amber - sounds like you have had a rough time . Hugs.

Progressing fine with the rads. 4 done already. I have the advantage that I work opposite to the department (really giving myself away today aren't I) so travelling and parking is not a problem.

Hope everyone has a good day.

MaryAnnSingleton · 13/07/2012 07:31

well done eight - but that must be odd, being so close to your treatment- convenient though.
Loads of good thoughts to bollocks - think it's fairly normal for hospital multi diciplinary team to discuss every result good or bad so everyone knows what's what- try not to fret.
Special calm vibes to kk xxxx
Hope you can come home soon today gig

OP posts:
Gigondas · 13/07/2012 09:08

bollocks another voice if reassurance that team discussions are normal. Sending you good vibes as waiting is the hardest bit.

Doing ok as good nights sleep and hoping to be let out this morning.

onein8 glad you are getting thru rads.

Hi to everyone else

Sometimesiwonder · 13/07/2012 10:11

Morning all

A big post i wrote yesterday seems to have disappeared Hmm but it was basically just saying woo bloody hoo for Autumn and Flump. I am very pleased for you both, truly terrific news.

Bollocks - I guess i am a bit late here with the reassurance but - yup, the 'discussion' is pretty standard so not a red flag.

KK - lots and lots of luck with the test. I think you'll pass.

MAS - how fab about the prize win, clever old thing! A weekend in Cornwall is always my very fave thing, but I shall fight the temptation to snatch your hand off, and leave it for one of the ladies in treatment. A weekend away was always a Godsend for me that horrid summer.

Onein8 - well done for staying chipper through rads. It's NOT nice.

Weather permitting Hmm we are off to see Jessie J at Warwick Castle tonight: not necessarily quite my thing, but it's DD's birthday treat.

amberlight · 13/07/2012 10:24

Thanks for hugs. V glad to s*d off for a few days with lovely dh to deepest Cotswolds to pre-celebrate wedding anniversary (which isn't quite yet).

KK, good luck for today!
Wheeee for those whose results are good ones.
Brew for those with days from heck.

MaryAnnSingleton · 13/07/2012 10:42

White Stuff say that I can't pass the prize on Sad -only for someone who has entered the competition. bah !
