I use that one up on why I need control of remote. It goes along with the things the doctor Said I couldn't do like taking big gig to the hot hell of competitive middle class parenting swimming class. Oh and have just used it to get out of visit to petting zoo.

topsyturner · 16/07/2012 14:38

Never liked the phrase "petting zoo" .
Sounds really dirty ...
Grin

Gigondas · 16/07/2012 14:41

Grin - am also not a fan of the smell..town girl here - my country fix is via listening to the archers.

back to the important things- what colour shall I paint my nails?

topsyturner · 16/07/2012 14:43

Well DD is sporting a fetching mix of apple green and turquoise ?

Sometimesiwonder · 16/07/2012 14:49

My trousers today are a fetching mix of apple green and turquoise!!! But then I have no shame....

On the subject of shame - agree 'petting zoo' sounds pretty grubby Grin

topsyturner · 16/07/2012 14:53

Saw some Kelly green skinny trews the other day Sometimes and nearly bought them .
But then managed to convince myself I'd look like an inverted tree trunk ... Sad

Sometimesiwonder · 16/07/2012 14:54

I take my hat off to you if you can even contemplate skinny trews

MaryAnnSingleton · 16/07/2012 14:57

poor dh kk - hope the doc will have some ideas.

OP posts:
KurriKurri · 16/07/2012 15:25

I've told him he needs to get stern with the doc. - so hopefully he'll get somewhere today.

Petting zoos are lethal places full of very greedy, vicious goats. who want to snatch your food bag and trample you to a pulp, whilst butting your toddler.

I am wearing orange trews today - baggy yoga ones - I look like a fat carrot. Am also wearing a blue t-shirt with a butterfly on it ,.

I am trying to do a painting to take down to my mum, - but it's looking a bit of a mess at the moment.

Gigondas · 16/07/2012 15:39

I have skinny trews but they do look a bit odd due to my op but I don't care - I am in risk of being signed up though for a diverse road show with topsy if i wear them.

good luck with pic mas - took your latest offering for step dad to be framed this morning. I know he is going to love it.

Gigondas · 16/07/2012 15:40

sorry confused posts there - what is pic of kurri? and I agree dh needs to get stern but feel for him if he is generally feeling rubbish which doesn't make you feel much like dr arguing.

topsyturner · 16/07/2012 15:40

I have 2 extremely large laundry baskets behind my kitchen door full of my clothes .
I have been telling myself for years months that I must sort them out .
Today , finally , I did it !!!!

I have 2 large bin liners for the recycle bin .
1 bin liner full of winter clothes for the attic .
And 1 bin liner full of going out clothes that I will never wear , but are too pretty to get rid of .

Am feeling very proud of myself .
Now if only I could motivate myself to tackle The Kilimanjaro Of T Shirts that is breeding in the gap between the foot of my bed and my wardrobe ... Grin

topsyturner · 16/07/2012 15:42

Am wearing blue and white stripe pjs lounge pants and a white vest .
Look like a fat pirate Grin

Gigondas · 16/07/2012 15:44

looks in a guilty way at half sorted pile of clothes for eBay/recycling in corner of room and pretends hasnt seen it.

Talking of which, I have some v nice stuff that mini gig has outgrown. Dsis is trying and struggling for baby (poor thing is really finding it tough Sad). Do I secretly keep some nice bits in case she wants them or can have the pfb right to reject them or get rid of all of it? Am not generally superstitious about keeping stuff, but am really hoping that get that chance .

topsyturner · 16/07/2012 15:53

Oh def keep for your sister .

KurriKurri · 16/07/2012 16:01

My pic is of Durdle Door - which is a geological archway in the sea, near where my Mum lives (I expect you all know that, but just in case you haven't heard of it.) I am trying to make the sea look rather wild, but I'm not getting it quite right. Hmm.

DH just phoned. The doctor basically implied he has health anxiety, she said ' you've been to the doctor rather a lot recently' Hmm - to which he replied 'yes but all for the same problem because it's not getting better'. She said she couldn't find anything wrong with him. Anyway she sent him for a chest x-ray - so we'll see what that tells us. Unfortunately he has been googling all sorts of things -and is convinced he's got something terrible, - and I've lost all perspective on the subject because he is worried - so I am too Sad

I don't know if it is stress or anxiety or what - but his clothes are hanging off him because he's losing weight. I hope if it is stress a fews days away at mum's might help, - we can go for some nice walks, and he can take lots of wildlife photos.

Gigondas · 16/07/2012 16:04

Oh kurri - yes anxiety can do that (I dropped 2 stone in a month post dx which even allowing for mini gig was a lot). The dr sounds tactless.

And dr google is a quack. I think a break is what is needed more than anything but I suppose at least x ray is something to rule out stuff (which I am sure it will do but I know is probably cold comfort now).

Pic sounds lovely... It's a nice area there .

I suppose I ought to shift off my arse and make big gigs tea.

MaryAnnSingleton · 16/07/2012 16:31

I think stress might be the cause of Mr kk's weightloss - but the doc doesn't seem to be particularly helpful. I bet some relaxation in lovely Dorset will certainly help him.
I've finished my last picture before the hols-have something lined up for when we;re back- didn't feel able to take on anything more in case I ran out of time, but it means I'm feeling a bit lost ! I have something I need to work on for my agent (a promotional thing we all have to do) but not work work,if you see what I mean.

OP posts:
topsyturner · 16/07/2012 16:32

Hmmm , even if it is anxiety related , surely one of the best ways to allay anxiety is to do investigations ?
And anxiety is a mind disease , but it gives very real , physical symptoms !

Sausage (butchers pork and apple) egg and chips for tea chez Topsy tonight .
Can I tempt anyone ?

Gigondas · 16/07/2012 16:36

Oh god yes.. Big gigs tea looking terribly tempting.

topsyturner · 16/07/2012 16:53

Am bloody starving today .
Must be all the housework you people made me do ALL ON MY OWN !!!

Gigondas · 16/07/2012 16:56
