yikes- here we go...

Gigondas · 10/04/2012 16:46

How did they carry the bags? With their fins?

Having major wobble and paranoia here - got follow up ct scan date for 2 weeks time. I know it was coming but scares the living daylights out of me. Sad

graciesmall09 · 10/04/2012 16:48

gig Blush hate to admit it but I was watching 60 minute makeover, which in my defence your honour, I don't like but DD loves watching it to see what they do in the childrens' rooms. Dolls pram sounds good for the washing basket, however I have 2 teenagers who eventually cave in and carry the wash basket for me. It is amazing how the thought of the xbox being disconnected can make boys move at Olympic speeds Grin

kurri picc line being put in next Monday afternoon but I am having the chemo at home so need them to confirm when they are coming. Love the thought of a fish with a sparkly bag. Have you been watching Finding Nemo by any chance?

graciesmall09 · 10/04/2012 17:08

gig I know its not easy but try not to stress too much about your CT scan. My bottom is extremely large I will plonk myself on the paranoia box for a while as I think I fill it more than anyone else.

Made it to the cinema today , saw The Pirates . Was very funny . And DCs made it through entire film without coughing fits .

Went for the worlds shittest burger before the film . Waited over 40 minutes for it to arrive , and when it finally did it was very obvious it had been sat on the side for ages .
Won't be going there again !

Lazy evening tonight , DH back at work tomorrow .

Really need to get something done with my hair , it is so tufty and mad looking I am debating wearing a hat ! Grin

graciesmall09 · 10/04/2012 17:23

Glad you had a good time at the cinema Topsy. 40 minutes for a burger, I would have probably eaten DH arm off. Just as well you went after the movie and not before.

KurriKurri · 10/04/2012 17:46

Scans are always stressful Gig, - try not to fret about it too much.
I've got a pain in my neck and spine, so I'm going to shove that in the paranoia box, and will sit on it with gracie (I also have a very large bottom - so nothing will escape Grin)

The fish were carrying the bags under their fins - I haven't been watching any fishy films (or handbag filmsGrin)

Its good you are having your chemo at home gracie - I think they are doing that quite a lot now, - much more relaxing, and you can watch telly if you want to.

Someone told me to save energy when on chemo, get yourself a towelling bathrobe, so you don't have to bother to dry yourself after a bath.

The Pirates film sounds good topsy - DD and I fancied seeing that,- burger not so good though. Good that the DC's coughs are going now - it's been a horrid bug they've had.

I wonder when Smee gets home? I want to see New York photos.

amberlight · 10/04/2012 17:48

'evening all! Leaving Brew for all...

graciesmall09 · 10/04/2012 17:54

Evening amber hope you had a good Easter.

KurriKurri · 10/04/2012 17:55

hello amber Smile thanks for the Brew

Gigondas · 10/04/2012 17:58

I fancy seeing pirates but assumed big gig too young (not quite 4) - would that be fair topsy

gracie thanks for sitting on box. I shall return the favour sometime.

Also recommend John Lewis or m and s towelling gowns .

Waves to amber and thanks for Brew

Am glad it's not just me who hates scans. Suppose it's reminder of not being easy to get free of this bloody disease.

topsyturner · 10/04/2012 19:09

My DC are 12 and 9 gig so a fair bit older than yours . It's sort of Wallace and Gromitty (made by aardman) so not too grown up .

Chocolate brownies anyone ?

KurriKurri · 10/04/2012 19:33

Did someone mention chocolate brownies??

Old lady dog is trying to get the room to herself using her ultimate weapon - flatulence. Grin

topsyturner · 10/04/2012 20:05

They have nuts in kk ... and are very moreish .

topsyturner · 10/04/2012 20:07

Pig/dog can be slightly flatulent at times , but his major weapon is pretending he wants a hug , then burping in your face !

MaryAnnSingleton · 10/04/2012 21:52

am back ! exhausted- but had v nice day.Ds is still bounding about.
Had a sandwich at the Festival Hall, then walked miles and miles- from there,by Somerset House then as far as Spitalfields- then back to Bank, tube to Holborn- supper at Wahaca and walked back to Waterloo- my legs ache ! Ds took loads of photos.supper was yum- Mexican -and a margarita for me,naturally.
No message from bcn - am sure she is sick of me.

Sounds like a great day mas , particularly liking the drinky part of it Grin

Think I'm going to have to crack open my stash of sleeping tabs . I just can't get to sleep these days .
Last night I didn't go up to bed till 2am , and then I read for at least an hour .
Then thanks to AF I was up again before 6am .

Might try some yoga classes first . Macmillan do free classes . Would a fat , unsupple bird look ridic doing yoga ???

Gigondas · 11/04/2012 07:33

Hope you managed to get some rest topsy. And there have been all sorts at yoga classes I went to- its one of nice things about it as so inclusive (big Pilates fan myself ).

mas that sounds a lovely day -Envy re wahaca as that is a favourite place (when I can sit down!).

Feeling bit better today but may still need someone to sit on box today. But as no hospital appt can go for coffee with nct mums like a "normal person". Grin

MaryAnnSingleton · 11/04/2012 08:33

I've only done yoga as part of my Mindfulness course and in subsequent meditation days- really liked it-should do it more really.

Hope you manage to have a restful day today Topsy. My mum can't sleep at all without sleeping tablets. We all need our sleep.

Sounds like a fab day mas. Hopefully bcn will phone today. I'm sure she is not at all fed up with you, perhaps she is off for Easter.

gig enjoy your coffee. Glad you are feeling better.

Another lazy day for me (anyone sense a theme with me). Finding it hard to summon any enthusiasm for anything.

Gigondas · 11/04/2012 10:22

We could have a laziness completion gracie . Actually I think there is a healing element as with all physical and emotional
Shock of treatment it's a lot to take on board.

topsyturner · 11/04/2012 11:22

Morning All

Had a lovely lie in today , and woke up to sunshine as well . Bonus !

Anyone doing anything exciting today ? My highlight will probably be hoovering ...

MaryAnnSingleton · 11/04/2012 11:31
