You slattern Sometimes Shock ......Wink

There's probably a special kind of duster for that job available form Lakeland, which I haven't got all houseproud people own. Grin

Should think so. Must go in their occasionally and see what tools they have for creating extra work all our essential tasks.

MaryAnnSingleton · 12/03/2012 15:07

hooray for toastiness and being able to have a wee sometimes !!
I don't seem to have breathlessness,maybe if I exerted myself a bit more ?

Sometimesiwonder · 12/03/2012 15:18

Ah. maybe it's a chemo SE, then. Is that possible? I would imagine so, it's pretty hardcore stuff.

MAS - don't over exert. It's over-rated Grin

NedSchneebly · 12/03/2012 16:05

Hope you have had a pleasant wee and are suitably toastie now, sometimes? Glad engineers could sort out gas fire too. Blush at dust!

Thinking of smee and hoping physio can sort out shoulder problems.

Hope eight OK. Am Envy'cos I have to wait 2 more days til mine and I am getting stressed.

Guess we won't hear from pennies til tomorrow. . .

What does shirtbread taste like, I wonder?! Grin

Sometimesiwonder · 12/03/2012 16:13

Fibrous!

Am indeed comfy in the bladder and can feel my toes again. Also this boiler does not sound like a rocket taking off, in fact I can't hear it at all. Happy days.

Smee's shoulder problems do indeed sound horrid. Physios are great though, so fingers crossed.

Ned - don't get stressed about cycle 2. You know what to expect now so it will probably seem loads better.

MaryAnnSingleton · 12/03/2012 17:07

Hope smee is being manipulated in all the right places...
sometimes: hooray for quiet boiler !
and ned - bound to be anxious,it's still a new experience for you- am sure you'll feel easier about it next time round.
Have just scoffed a cheese scone -yum.

SparkleRainbow · 12/03/2012 17:49

I have got dd2 pleading in my ear to have a glass of apple juice rather than the milk I have told her she can have. Dd1 has come home with an inability to stop talking and apparently no need to breath either (thinking about it she woke up like that this morning) ds is bouncing around playing on the wii and slightly driving me mad with having to listen to his "scores".....

Afternoon all, sorry I haven't been around, hope you all ok, bit concerned to read about something and smee. Hope everyone is all right. Who has treatment today.

Arghh before I have even finished this message, dd1 and now made ds cry, and she is boucing around playing musical instruments in my other ear...dd2 still complaining about beverage option. ROLL ON BEDTIME.

MaryAnnSingleton · 12/03/2012 18:51

hope things have calmed down sparkle
Am feeling v nervy- we're off soon...ds wants me to film him on the camera, which is adding to my nerves...

KurriKurri · 12/03/2012 19:34

have a good evening MAS Smile

hello sparkle - hope things calm down soon and you get a chance to put your feet up - are the boys talking again yet?

Hooray for mended boiler Sometimes - its horrible not having your heating.

Smee - hope physio went well - good you were able to get a cancellation.

Ned - it's horrid waiting, and you are bound to be a bit anxious, but it will soon come round and then you'll have 2 under your belt. - Its good when you can start counting them off - feels as if you are actually getting somewhere.

I fell asleep at about fourish and slept till six - and still feel dead on my feet. My thyroid is utterly rubbish, I am ringing round tomorrow (hospital and GP) to see if any one can get me onto thyroxine NOW. I can't think straight atm, cos my brain has slowed down too, I forget evrything.

OP posts:
SparkleRainbow · 12/03/2012 19:40

Tis quiet they are in bed. Dh and FIL are being civil, which seems to mean FIL is just about talking to dh, but not talking to me at all.....heh ho it is quiet and I like it Wink

Kurri I really think you should give a ring round and see if they can more. I am so sorry you are feeling so rubbish. I will try and find something nice for the snack trolley later, ot tomorrow. Smile

Hope it goes well MAS, fingers crossed for filming too!

What has smee done to her shoulder I wonder... hope you are ok.

Love to all, am off to watch some trashy tv, as dh away in scotland tonight and I have power over the remote control!

MaryAnnSingleton · 12/03/2012 20:38

kk hope you can get some- poor you.
Back nice and early, only about 6 performers this time- ds did very well- sang Seligkeit by Schubert -phew. Can relax now Grin

Gigondas · 12/03/2012 20:40

Hi all - posting quickly to mark spot. Haven't been through all posts but kurri sorry you are feeling yuck and Ned am thinking of you.

Had lovely weekend and mini gig was very good in car etc. leaving lots of nice french chocolate and patisserie goodies on FBs trolley.

Am really tired and in denial about meeting with dementor type oncologist to discuss radio therapy. Hope it goes ok as dh not coming and she has nearly broken me when seen her. It's meant to be to
Discuss radio therapy and schedule it so in theory should be ok...

Gigondas · 12/03/2012 20:42

Sorry cross posts - that's good Mas.

Sorry for self centered and short post - thinking of pennies, can see your dilemma i4k and smee hope physio helped.

smee · 12/03/2012 20:51

No news from Pennies, but then I guess she'll be high on something with a bit of luck.

Eight, did it go okay today?? Really hope so. Half way. Small yeay for that at least if so. Smile

Shitbread?! Much as I love fbs, that might be a step too far. Unless it's chocolate coated that is, as then I might have a nibble... Grin

Kurri, it's going on way too long - poor you. Definitely call tomorrow, or go and sit on the floor in the GP's waiting room or something. You can't go on like that. Angry for you.

Sparkle, hope bedtime's safely done and dusted. Mine's curled up with his sheep (not real) and the cat (v.real). Grin

Sometimes, dust's good surely as it keeps the warmth in. That's my excuse anyway. Wink

MAS, hope filming went to plan and that DS was happy with how it all went.

Hugs over the sea to you, Topsy. You're very quiet. Hope you're okay today.

Nice physio, says I've got all tightened up at the top of my spine - he says probably not helped by mastectomy, but mostly caused by my daftly challenging DS to do swirly helicopter type arm movements. He did lots of ouch manipulation and I've got some exercises to do, but he thinks he can fix it, so phew. Smile

MaryAnnSingleton · 12/03/2012 22:16

oh phew smee !
Welcome back gig and good luck with onc.
Those on fb can see ds singing his piece on my little video Grin

smee · 12/03/2012 22:41

Waves to Gig - must have x-posted. Have to say, am quite liking the French fbs. What time tomorrow? Will be thinking of you. Smile

MAS, my broadband's dodgy so it won't let me play the clip. Will watch tomorrow when I have some speed..! Glad it went well. Smile

l4k · 13/03/2012 09:54

Morning! where are you all today?
Hope you are all doing something funSmile
Kurri-could you let me know what's been going on with your thyroid?what were your test results and reference ranges when you were diagnosed?(TSH,T4 and T3 if done) and why you have not been given any medication?
I know a bit about it as I have secondary-hypothyroidism and took ages to feel better.
If no-one is helping you successfully with this you can ask to see an endocrinologist who should know what they are doing,thyroid-wise.

ds is still at home but I hope he will be well enough for school tomorrow.

NedSchneebly · 13/03/2012 10:35

Morning lovely ladies!

Have been to coffee with lovely lady from church (not that I have been going since dx, but that's another story) and am meeting an old friend for lunch. She's just had a new baby, so I had fun in mothercare yesterday!

14k glad to hear that DS is on the mend Smile

gig welcome back from Frenchland! Get some rest and heaps of good luck for oncologist meeting today. Hope she's nice to you. Don't stand any nonsense, my lovely!

smee So pleased the physio can help sort your shoulder. Sorry to hear it was a bit ouchy. You must be a relief to know its fixable. No more helicopter competitions OK?

MAS what a top video- didn't the boy do well?! You must be so proud of lovely T. Am very impressed by your steady video-ing hand. Smile

eight hope you're OK this morning. Half way through for you - yay! Big hugs x

MaryAnnSingleton · 13/03/2012 10:38

eight -how are you today ?
waves to everyone- am off to the dentist as my broken tooth is very sensitive and aching !
ned thank you for kind words about ds- after a huge lot of faffing have managed to load it on to youtube (forgot passwords etc)
so it's here if anyone would like to look !

smee · 13/03/2012 10:56

MAS, he's great. How lovely to have that too. Was he pleased with how it went? I can't imagine my ds ever doing something like that. Very brave! Hope dentist is able to help your poor tooth.

Hello Ned. Coffee sounds good.

Thinking about Gig today and Pennies too. Hope she's feeling okay and in a nice ward. right, had better do some work. Big pot of coffee seems essential, so it's here for anyone who wants some. Smile

OneInEight · 13/03/2012 10:57

Survived number four. Had to wait what seemed enormous length of time for drugs to come up as they had to double-check the neutrophils again. 2 hours rather than seven Kurri so I shouldn't really be moaning. Anyway that's the red stuff done now and then onto to doxo - something and the dreaded herceptin next time. Emend is a wonderful thing though!

Ned - good luck for tomorrow - will be a quarter of the way through for you too. The ticking off really helps me get through it.

Kurri - sorry your feeling so bad at the moment and hope you manage to get to the GP and they sort you out. Is it because the radioactive treatment worked too well and destroyed your thyroid that your having all these problems now?

Smee - glad the physiopherapist (does chemo destroy anyone elses spelling ability? - not that mine was ever great to begin with) was of help.

14K - is it your appointment too tomorrow - lots of goodluck and I hope you get another benign result.

I am sure I have missed lots of people but hope you are all having a good day.

Gigondas · 13/03/2012 11:06

Glad no 4 is done one.

Smee I will pinch some coffee and moan with you re aches. Have pulled a muscle in my side picking up one of kids (got steen words from dh and oncologist on overdoin it) so am hobbling about.

Ned how are you? I have no excuse for Mothercare trip as mini gig has a wardrobe full of stuff for midi gig (fun though getting nostalgic when I put her in big kids clothes).

Oncologist was ok - must be scared of you lot branding her with little cock surgeon . Scar healed up sufficiently so can start rad the week before/after easter. Getting measured for mold next week.

Even managed not to wobble re having repeat ct in a couple of weeks (but will be all over place near time I know ) on my chest. Lighting loads of candles that it's just general wear and tear/post baby.

Off to check off Mas link on ds now.

Sometimesiwonder · 13/03/2012 11:23

MAS Well done to Theo - the boy done good!

Hi to all. Work beckons, I did sod all yesterday.

x

NedSchneebly · 13/03/2012 11:26

Progress, gig, progress! Glad to hear you have a plan and that oncologist behaved herself. Fine to wobble about repeat ct scan - one step at a time, that's all you can do. Hang in there. I am doing OK, I think- slept for 8 hours last night on my new pills, so guess that's got to be a good thing?! Feeling bit sick today, but think its all in my brain. Getting a bit stressed about this afternoon (got to have my coil taken out because its a hormonal one and oncologist says it needs to come out) and about chemo tomorrow. Will be fine once it's done, I'm sure.

Anyone else with appointments today?
