Where do I find the torch please?

Raskova · 10/05/2014 08:19

On my calendar there is a little grey dot on the days where an event happens...

hollyisalovelyname · 10/05/2014 08:20

Weatherall I'm with you on the crappy calendar/ diary on the iphone 4 s. I updated to ios 7. whatever ( sadly) and the calendar is awful.

Raskova · 10/05/2014 08:27

And my calendar is iOS 7

liger · 10/05/2014 08:29

Weatherall does the calendar not show a small dot under the date with events ?

SpiderRoaster · 10/05/2014 08:30

If you hold down the lock key and then press the home button, it takes a picture of your screen. I only found this out recently and I've had an iPhone for years!

When on a website and you want that link to look like an App, press the middle button at the bottom the looks like an swirling arrow, and there's options to send as message / email etc, and a "add to home screen". Again, very obvious but only just started using it MN active discussion is at my finger tips

Also, if you have a low battery and want to charge quickly, apparently if you put it in airplane mode, it charges much faster.

picnicbasketcase · 10/05/2014 08:33

I downloaded a new calendar app because the updated one was so crap. I like calendars in grids, damn it, not all weird and free form with dots.

TheDoctrineOfSnatch · 10/05/2014 08:36

Claire, swipe up from the bottom and there are handy icons including Airplane mode, wifi on off and the torch.

(iOS 7)

SpecialStuff · 10/05/2014 08:45

I'm on a 4s with the most recent update and my calendar has dots.

Thanks!
Now the most important question - just how dod you do links on the phone?

Raskova · 10/05/2014 08:57

I've posted that somewhere up thread. It's a on each side of the address

PlushSuppie · 10/05/2014 09:04

How do you update your phone. It used to ask me if I wanted to and I didn't but now I do.
Also if I update and lose anything will it still be on my iPad?

TheDoctrineOfSnatch · 10/05/2014 09:07

Yes, apps and songs are in your apple account so will still be available. App data (eg myfitnesspal history) should survive the upgrade.

TheDoctrineOfSnatch · 10/05/2014 09:07

Links convert automatically now from the mobile app

coffeeinbed · 10/05/2014 09:07

Thanks, I'll look it up up.

TheDoctrineOfSnatch · 10/05/2014 09:07

Sorry, from the mobile site!

coffeeinbed · 10/05/2014 09:08

Ah, no, I can do that.

When you copy something then I always lose it when I want to paste it.
How do I do that?

123rd · 10/05/2014 09:10

My clock icon reads 10.15 ATM
And moving seconds hand Hmm

TheDoctrineOfSnatch · 10/05/2014 09:12

It's not on BST then!

Raskova · 10/05/2014 09:19

Settings> general> software update

PlushSuppie · 10/05/2014 09:21

Thanks Rascova do you know if I update my phone and lose everything, will it still be on my iPad?

dancemom · 10/05/2014 09:24

For better calendar reading, turn your phone to landscape.

NomDePrune · 10/05/2014 09:32

On the new calendar with dots (ios7) if you tap on the search / magnifying glass it shows only days with events.

What's the best calendar to get if you really hate it and are thinking of downloading an app?

Damnautocorrect · 10/05/2014 09:33

You can watch actual live tv from this website as long as you have 3G/ wifi for free (you have to login but that's it)
Not catch up, but all digital channels live
iphone.tvcatchup.com
So cbeebies at the hair dressers and a tv anywhere.
