If you press and hold a vowel, it bring up a set of European options - umlauts and accents etc, so you can write Zoë properly

If you hold the number key down it bring up the numbers keyboard, and you can move your finger to the number you want. When you lift off the screen, it reverts to the letters keyboard.

To be fair, the only bad thing DD has done is buy an app for £7 but she does love it. Nothing else bad as far as I'm aware

EExC - the clock thing is only in the last iOS update! The calendar has always had the correct date though

Lame next to Strawberry's but if you swipe up on the menu (you know - where you go to get the torch and stuff) you can click on an icon that stops the screen rotating if it senses you've gone horizontal. This is really useful when MNing or playing Candy Crush in bed. It looks like a phone with an arrow round it.

I don't have a spirit level, & my clock is 18 min out.

On the home screen, if you press and hold an icon and pull it down it reveals the search function. You can type anything it and it will find it.

Just swipe down on the home screen. No need to hold an icon.

The spirit level is an app though, not just there innit?

If ever u want 2 save a photo someone has sent u or an interesting page on the internet just hold the home button & stand bye button @ the same time & it takes a copy/photo of it & then u can view it in ur photos. (Very useful)

Does anyone know what to do with autocorrect when you type a word and it says a suggestion that it will change to if you carry on typing. How to get it so it doesn't autocorrect?

When just typing Gini, it wanted to put Gino. I deleted the o too many times and then just decided to put it and edit it myself. That make sense?

If you have several email accounts on the phone and start an email in one account to a contact in another, it should autocorrect the "sent from" to the right email.I
