Just a little fourward planning . We are all looking forward to another thread of fabulous pictures. It can be a quiet time but I am sure some of us will have autumnal colours to share . The trees are starting to turn here . I have just picked an allium from my photo collection to start the thread off .
You are very welcome to finish or visit the old thread . I do not know how to do ... this is the old thread here thing .

AnneKipanki · 11/09/2020 19:37

Is it scented @AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet ?
Gorgeous flower.

Is it scented? Hmm, I should know this... which leads me to the conclusion that it is not Grin😂
I will check tomorrow Smile

Haven't posted before but love seeing everyone's pics so thought I'd share a snap of Dahlia "chat noir". It's been the triumph of the front garden this year, and survive the massacre inflicted on most other things by the scaffolders!

It's beautiful. Dahlias are striking

Supper time ✨

Can I pop mine on here?? This is my rose plant this year. It normally blooms around May/June but strangely we didn't start to see any blooms until late August. It smells so lovely. I've also included a comparison photo from two years ago - exact same plant, how interesting that the pattern is so different!

Thank you for starting a new thread @AnneKipanki! I love these threads, very much looking forward to the photos to come! 🥰 Also that's a stunning photo of that Allium!

Your little friend is so cute @AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet! I would love a hedgehog in my garden.

That Dahlia really is striking @RestorationInsanity.

That's beautiful @otterbaby, and how interesting that it's changed so much!

AnneKipanki · 12/09/2020 10:54

Lovely roses and lovely hedgehog! My roses are in full bloom now but more surprisingly my dahlias are also at their full bloom. I would get one or two new flowers a week before but now have around 10! Will post a picture soon

RestorationInsanity · 12/09/2020 14:56

Thank you. Never had much luck with dahlias in our old garden so am really pleased.

Roses look beautiful @AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet @otterbaby.

And who can resist a snuffling hedgehog!

beautyisfoundwithin · 12/09/2020 20:48

Me too @Rookiegardener, with the Dahlias that is, can't believe all of the blooms! Snapped a couple of photos of one of them earlier.

This is the lovely Dahlia in my front garden - no idea what it is though 🤔.
Princess Alexandra looks great. I have a Roald Dahl in a pot that is still flowering.

That's gorgeous @Didiusfalco, my sister has one very similar and now I want one!

Rookiegardener · 12/09/2020 21:25

Lovely dahlia @Didiusfalco. I have the same and it's called yellow hammer

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 12/09/2020 21:53

Beautiful Dahlias. The colours are so intense.

My Hydrangeas are beginning to fade 😭

Thank you Anne for the new thread. My favourite part of mumsnet 😊

DrWAnker · 13/09/2020 07:58

Oh, you are so lucky to have a hedgehog @AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet.
We had a few visit in our old garden, and some baby ones. It would be great to have one here and help with the slug infestation Grin.
Thank you @AnneKipanki for starting a new thread, this is such a nice, soothing place to be.

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 13/09/2020 10:49

It's my favourite thread too Smile

African daisies, this morning. They bloom pretty much all year

Alexandra is indeed scented.

But this one (picture taken just now) is divine; the scent and the appearance. Wild Edric.

What a gorgeous day, like summer. Today I give you a beautiful cream hydrangea (can't remember the name as we lost the tag), scabious and a butterfly and a lovely rose called Sweet Juliet 💕
