Just a little fourward planning . We are all looking forward to another thread of fabulous pictures. It can be a quiet time but I am sure some of us will have autumnal colours to share . The trees are starting to turn here . I have just picked an allium from my photo collection to start the thread off .
You are very welcome to finish or visit the old thread . I do not know how to do ... this is the old thread here thing .

@AnneKipanki
Well, we will just have to postpone the get-together at Beauty's in solidarity with you all...it wouldn't be much of a party without the rest of the gang. Prayers!

beautyisfoundwithin · 02/07/2021 19:54

Thank you @HelloPudding, you should definitely give them a go! Although I am biased as they're my absolute favourite.

😂 Yes, think we'll have to postpone the party at mine, otherwise it'll be just you and me @Sweetpea1532!!

This year I sowed a lot of Snapdragons from seeds that I collected from the garden last year (not something I've tried before so I didn't have much faith it would work!) and they're now beginning to flower 😃

Plus a rain drenched Peony and some bright colours from my Geraniums (or Pelargoniums?? I'm not sure!)

@beautyisfoundwithin
I'm glad you approve of postponing the pea party especially since i never got around to getting your approval to come to yours for peasWinkGrin
I'm beginning to think you live in the garden of Eden with all the amazing successes this year..." "oh, I've just decided to throw some seeds out to see what will happen " says beauty bing! several months later out pop all these various gorgeous flowers and food...we all know my luck with seeds! I'm still waiting....Hmm

Had a quick catch-up looking at photos - so many stunning flowers.

Thanks to those who commiserated re my drowned roses. I’m going to start a new thread in a day or so re advice I was given by calling the David Austin office,

Nearly at the end of the thread. For those still enjoying good weather -long may it continue. For those that feel like it’s been autumn for 9 months, let’s hope for a few more dry days to at least mow the lawn!

Bonus is had a different wild poppy appear this week. Not as gorgeous as the first, but I still like it.

@Furries , will you link your thread please ?

Sorry @Sweetpea1532! You're always welcome here of course! Although with my little handful of peas I'm not sure I have enough to go around just yet 😂😂

And thank you for the compliment but I wish it were that simple! 90% of the seeds I sowed directly were eaten by slugs the minute they emerged 😭 The seeds that were successful were painstakingly sown indoors and showered with way too much care and attention! You should have seen the amount of seedlings I had in the house at the beginning of the year, it was ridiculous really! 😂😂

AnneKipanki · 03/07/2021 18:57

I bet . There is nothing worse than having all your labour devoured by rabbits or slugs or insects.☹️

Why thank you for the lovely invitation @beautyisfoundwithin
So kind of you to offer to share your handful of peas😂. Fortunately, I don't eat much

AnneKipanki · 03/07/2021 22:54

Hello @Sweetpea1532.

@AnneKipanki
Thank you, AK...I can hardly wait to see what special surprise you've magic-ed up for us...Will I get it for your July 4th or do I have to wait for mineGrin

Sweetpea1532 · 04/07/2021 02:12

@beautyisfoundwithin

I forgot to mention the hilarious picture you painted for us (with your words) about how you had little seedlings sprouting up all over your house....I bet any guests you entertained during that time are just waiting for an invitation to your bountiful feast... they are imagining huge bowls of fresh vegetables..not a few peas 😂 it really is a miracle that farmers are able to produce enough food to feed people, isn't it? I have no excuse for my bad seed results...I come from a very long line of farmers..my father used to plow the fields behind a mule evenWine
