Just a little fourward planning . We are all looking forward to another thread of fabulous pictures. It can be a quiet time but I am sure some of us will have autumnal colours to share . The trees are starting to turn here . I have just picked an allium from my photo collection to start the thread off .
You are very welcome to finish or visit the old thread . I do not know how to do ... this is the old thread here thing .

All beautiful. I love the name Sweet Juliet.

One of my pots Smile (in need of a little water, unusual here)!

Lovely photos @applecatchers36 and @catwithflowers. Gorgeous coloured Dahlias, they fit with with this time of year too. Looks like you have lots of buds on that Sweet Juliet to look forward to!

Beautiful @AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet! I have one of those but it's nowhere near as impressive as yours!

I planted some gazanias for the first time & I love them. Going to go to town with them next year, great colours and very cheerful.

Woah @Flatpackback ! Those are so eye catching! Remind me of the Aztecs and tribal patterns.

AnneKipanki · 14/09/2020 21:08

Wow ! Very striking @Flatpackback .

Flowerbed is potluck this year, just what I could get really. Marigolds have thrived and flowered 3 times now; have. a few tubs of them.

My rose's leaves are turning yellow with black marks on them. Does anyone know what this could be?

Rookiegardener · 15/09/2020 10:43

Unknown rose

Beautiful rookie
Is it the Rose leaves? Could it be brown spot or rose spot (can't remember the name)?

Pinkstars2501 · 15/09/2020 14:23

I love looking at all the colourful blooms! Here are a couple of mine. Not much because I've only this year had a go as we've only got stones and slabs so it's all in pots. I think I underestimated the sizes needed as well. I might get bigger planters next year... At least the honey bee enjoys one of my poppies 🤗

Yes Beware it is the leaves. They have black spots all over them and then the leaves turn yellow and die.

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 15/09/2020 19:42

Mine had that - I was advised to just leave it, or cut off affected bits if they bothered me. My dm just leaves hers and says it doesn't affect the flowering. My roses are not repeat flowerers so I cut all the spotty leaves off, and it has come back now with fresh healthy ones.

Very pretty pink stars!

catwithflowers · 15/09/2020 21:39

@Rookiegardener I cut off and bin or burn the rose leaves which are affected with black spot. 😊

Rose Vanessa Bell and her second flowering, heliotrope and some rather jolly small sunflowers!

The basket is a metal one found in grandpas shed, drilled holes in it and now has a new life 💐

@AnneKipanki
Thank you, I just love lots of colour, cheers you up 😊

beautyisfoundwithin · 17/09/2020 12:12

Thanks @SBTLove. Beautiful bright colours you've got going on, and in great combinations! And I love taking old things and giving them a new life too 😊

RightioMalbec · 18/09/2020 09:46

My roses are in their final flush now, this is an Emily Bronte. I’ve decided I love roses and their companion plants and going to turn over the veggie raised bed into a mini rose garden next year. I’m pretty rubbish at veg anyway!
