Morning all! couldn’t sleep, so praying and reading also jumping on here for solidarity and support. We’re needing an A*AB or ABB here, totally blown away by how hard my son worked for his A-levels compared to my efforts back in the eighties. Thinking of you all and your children today 🙏😬

Fruitygal · 18/08/2022 05:52

Morning @BlueMarigold cant believe I slept until now ?!?

fridaynight · 18/08/2022 06:00

Good morning @shimy yes, really feeling nervous here too as DS didn’t feel exams went well as didn’t finish Qs even with extra time . Good luck for today !

BlueMarigold · 18/08/2022 06:03

@Fruitygal Glad you got some sleep! It’s not long to go now.

We can go to the school at 8:30 to pick up the results. Teachers are there today and tomorrow for support.

CinnamonOrangeCremeBrulee · 18/08/2022 06:04

Obviously we’re all wide awake so just popping on to say thanks for the new thread
@CinnamonOrangeCremeBrulee and good luck to everyone this morning, may the exam gods be looking upon our DCs kindly. 🍀🍀

Fruitygal · 18/08/2022 06:07

@BlueMarigold snap on timings - DD wants to be at school outside at 8.15 so can get ucas before goes in with her two friends.

cariadambyth · 18/08/2022 06:07

Good morning Wide Awake Club! My stomach is in knots. Wishing everyone well x

sazzy5 · 18/08/2022 06:07

I think at least we all know in 2 hours rather than this relentless what if scenarios.
@MirandaWest enjoy your run, I did mine yesterday and am at an age where my legs can’t take a run each day. My cat also released, doing an earlier dog walk so we are back in time.

pangolinfan · 18/08/2022 06:10

Good luck everyone! School opens at 8 here and I'm still not sure whether I'm allowed to go (and sit in the car park) or whether DD will go alone. No sound from her room yet, but I bet she's awake.

Sallyingon · 18/08/2022 06:11

Morning. Good luck everyone. No movement yet in DS's room. Me and DH are wide awake and nervous

FAQs · 18/08/2022 06:19

Good luck everyone’s children, daughter has been a nervous, moody, stressed wreck the last week so close now. But she doesn’t want her secured Uni place and wants to change so we will be fighting through clearing, argh.

EquallyDivided · 18/08/2022 06:24

Morning all, just got up to make a cuppa and feed the cats - we don't usually lock them in at night but I found one of them teasing a frog on the patio last night and locked them in so it could escape. We had a LOT of rain yesterday. Everyone else is still asleep (well, DH is and no sounds from the DCs rooms).

ealingwestmum · 18/08/2022 06:26

Morning everyone. Busy house today Orange, hello to all the new folk!

SquirrelFan · 18/08/2022 06:33

Morning all, glad I found this thread - is everyone going in to school? I understood results would be online and there was no need - does it vary from school to school? Good luck, all!

Shimy · 18/08/2022 06:34

@fridaynight fell asleep after that post then just woke up again. DS didn't finish questions in more than one paper. Been looking at Clearing to see what's on but DS not engaging, can't see why he needs to think about alternative unis and have phone numbers to hand. Awful indigestion arrrgh!

tryingmybest13 · 18/08/2022 06:42

Morning all! Poor sleep so just got up. Pouring with rain here. DS still asleep -should be up by 7. He was chilled last night. Checked Edexcel as they said grade boundaries at 6 am but seems that was an error and they meant 8 am! Not that it matters, really. Tick tock- fingers crossed for all

Decorhate · 18/08/2022 06:45

Morning all. I didn’t sleep much either. Fingers crossed for everyone.

coffeeandbiscuittime · 18/08/2022 06:51

Restless menopausal sleep for me- not sure how DD has fairied. Will take her a brew in a bit. Planning to take her in to school and sit in the car.
Looking at TSR overnight - unlikely for Medicine to be in clearing so just hoping for good grades so she doesn't have to repeat them and she can just concentrate on Reapplying for next year.
Fingers crossed for all DC.

Oblomov22 · 18/08/2022 06:52

Good Moaning. Officer Crabtree here. I slept like a log. Nothing stops me sleeping.

Zott · 18/08/2022 06:54

@SquirrelFan our school the results are online so we don’t go into the school.

SquirrelFan · 18/08/2022 06:55

Thanks, @Zott !@Zott ! Just booked an appointment - in case!
