@Zebracat you have absolutely done her proud without one shadow of a doubt 💐This will work out Ok - hopefully she’ll be in immediately but if not she will get sorted. This is the worst bit now but we’ll know soon.

Good morning everyone. We slept well but have been up for a while. Dd is very nervous this morning, which is turning me into the calm, reassuring one.

Wishing everyone the very best of luck! I sincerely hope all the DC on this thread get results they are happy with and that help them move onto their next step.

I'll be checking back in from the school carpark, when hopefully I'll at least be able to see from UCAS/dd's emails if she met her offer while waiting to hear her results!

HoneyMobster · 18/08/2022 07:21

Popping in to say good luck to you all!

isthisreallyitoh · 18/08/2022 07:22

Another de-lurker!

Thank you all so much for your chat over the past year which has really helped me. Wishing all our young adults the best this morning.

Morning all, glad I found this thread - is everyone going in to school? I understood results would be online and there was no need - does it vary from school to school? Good luck, all!

Dd at a college = results all online for us. Wide catchment area lots of students may not be able to get in anyhow. A shame as some will need support.

Oh @Zebracat stop it, you have been everything she’s needed and more

EquallyDivided · 18/08/2022 07:25

DS gets his online this morning but they have been invited in this afternoon for a farewell to the teachers. No mention of parents on the invitation so we are all planning to go to the pub round the corner (quite a lot in the year are friends)

Wheresthebeach · 18/08/2022 07:25

@Zebracat You’ve been amazing with her. Deep breaths, it will be okay.

CinnamonOrangeCremeBrulee · 18/08/2022 07:28

@Zebracat you wanted the best and did the best for her you can. That will have an impact one way or anotherFlowers

At 1:30 last night DD was up and announced that she didn’t want her results - ever. I’ll be on tea making duty shortly. Welcome to lurkers!

Delphigirl · 18/08/2022 07:30

Good morning all…

SquirrelFan · 18/08/2022 07:30

@CinnamonOrangeCremeBrulee Ah, that may be the difference. Mine's at a college, too.
He doesn't want his first choice any more but his insurance, so no matter what grades he gets, we'll be on the phone this morning... 🙄

Piggywaspushed · 18/08/2022 07:30

Been up since 5 am. Good Luck each and every one.

DS is up. Chilled. How does he do it?

vxa2 · 18/08/2022 07:33

DD and friend have just left to drive to college. Its a few miles away so will take them 30 mins to get get there and parked. I’m here crying - feeling all overwhelmed and they are not even my results !

petitebleu · 18/08/2022 07:34

Not much sleep here. I could hear DS at 3ish when I woke up and he was in the shower by 7 so I suspect he's stayed up all night. 25 mins...

Zebracat · 18/08/2022 07:35

Thank you, everyone. I just hate to think she will be cast down. She is so calm. We now have to try to collect a urine sample from the dog. Good distraction…

mummyinbeds · 18/08/2022 07:35

So DS has chosen now to start asking about clearing. He's just had a Monster energy drink for breakfast and is a little hyper. And I'm giving his friend who needs 3 A* a lift to school 😱🤞
Thank you each and every one of you for providing so much knowledge and support on this journey. Good luck 2020 kids, you're all amazing.

Seeline · 18/08/2022 07:37

DD went to bed early last night feeling poorly and on medication from the doctor. Last night was a long one! She's in the shower now so hopefully feeling better and ready for whatever the day brings!

Off to school for about 8.30, although she can check the school portal from 8..... Wants to know her grades before checking UCAS. Whether she'll be able to wait remains to be seen!

Good luck to all!

singingstones · 18/08/2022 07:37

We now have to try to collect a urine sample from the dog.

😂 good luck with that zebra

MirandaWest · 18/08/2022 07:40

Went for my run. As I am a slow runner then my 15k took me just under 2 hours so used up the time well.

wonder if DS is awake/up yet?

JustHereWithMyPopcorn · 18/08/2022 07:43

DS still not up!

scabby1 · 18/08/2022 07:43

Good morning & good luck.

CinnamonOrangeCremeBrulee · 18/08/2022 07:43

Should I get Dd up? No movement

DS still not up!

Snap....I suspect Dd hasn't slept until about an hour ago 😳 she will be grumpy

OP posts:
Amperoblue · 18/08/2022 07:44

So anxious . More than my own 32 years ago.
We’re away. DS is staying with my parents in their village and DH and I are in a holiday let in another in the next.
Driving over in half an hour. I’m hopeful he’s in but will be really disappointed if he ends up with his insurance (and so will he I think).
