Can I have the recipe for Tuscan gnocchi please?

We are defrosting the freezer later so I'll know then what needs to be used up. We are trying to run the cupboards and freezers down.
I do know we have turkey thighs (so probably curry), and casserole beef (for stew).
Tonight, DH is making homemade pizzas.
Also have pesto pasta and jacket potatoes on the menu soon.

Rattlethestars · 29/12/2022 09:44

Oh and macaroni cheese for the others, gluten free pasta with spicy tomato sauce for me (can't have dairy or regular pasta)

IET · 29/12/2022 09:46

Hopping on as need to start meal planning.

Tomorrow: slow cooker chicken curry shawarma type thing
NYE: possibly a takeaway / deliveroo
NYD: roast chicken dinner

That's as far as I've got (you can see I need help 😂)

mondaytosunday · 29/12/2022 10:22

Tonight: tray bake chicken thighs with Mediterranean vegetables and rice.
Friday: veggie tostadas
Saturday pork with noodles stir fry
Sunday: lamb with mash
Monday: African spiced lamb and rice.
Tuesday: chicken Kyiv
Wednesday: ?

The days we have the above may change but those are the meals I've planned.

We still have some leftover Turkey and ham from Christmas/Boxing day which are going in to sandwiches for lunch.

satelliteheart · 29/12/2022 10:37

Really need to get back into proper meal planning and cooking real meals. Had a baby 6 weeks ago so have been disorganised and lazy so need to get back into good habits!

This all might change as I haven't food shopped yet but it's my initial plan
Tonight: at in-laws so whatever they cook
Tomorrow: homemade chicken tikka masala with rice and naan
nye: probably a "fancy" ready meal from cook or similar early evening and then some party food for dh and I after kids in bed
Nyd: chicken, ham and leek pie (a tradition) with chips and whatever veg I've picked up

That's as far as I've made it so far but determined to get back into eating better especially as I really want to shift some weight in the new year now I've finished having babies

Lastqueenofscotland2 · 29/12/2022 11:00

i am veggie :)

@Rattlethestars it’s the Nora cooks one, except I use single cream rather than coconut milk :)

Today: Spicy halloumi tray bake
Friday: Sticky salmon & veg fried rice
Sat: Probably a load of shove it all in the oven party food. I don’t love NYE but thankfully the friends and kids we have coming are easy to please so no fuss required Smile
Sun: Veggie shepherds pie

No idea for next week but after all the heavy food over the past few days I’m feeling the need for lots of vegetables. Planning to look through a few recipe books for inspiration before shopping at the weekend.

@yaflouloci It’s this recipe if you’re interested.

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 29/12/2022 18:47

DH was going to make Jamie Oliver’s carbonara tonight but we’re out of Parmesan so it’s scampi, chips & peas.
Fri - ready meal for me, beans on toast for DH as I’m working late
NYE - sirloin steak, chips, peas, breaded garlic mushrooms, peppercorn sauce (for me)
NYD - griddled pork loin steaks, roast potatoes, carrots & broccoli
Haven’t thought much beyond that but will do a spag bol one night & probably do something in my slow cooker. Trying to make space in the freezer so it’s a case of digging though to see what I can find. Also have a lovely sounding beef massaman curry recipe to try.

Bronzeisthecolour · 30/12/2022 16:18

Tonight- hunters chicken with veg

I might do a macaroni cheese at the weekend, maybe. And then some sort of veggie roast, as I'm really regretting not planning one for today.

If you can't have dairy what pesto do you use? I want to try it with my DD but she is dairy free

OnTheRunWithMannyMontana · 01/01/2023 16:12

I've just done mine and ordered the online shop for the next 2 weeks (we get a fruit and veg box delivered weekly plus quick stop offs for fresh milk and bread). I've also still got 4 portions of Turkey in the freezer!

Meals planned are:

-Bombay fish cakes with salad and mango chutney (bbc good food recipe)
-Turkey and sausage pie with mash and crispy kale
-Cherry tomato and bacon pasta bake
-freezer leftovers night (there's portions of lasagne and curry in there)
-Tinga Turkey Tacos
-Homemade fish, chips and peas
-Shepherds pie, mixed veg and gravy
-Lamb keema matar, tomato and red onion salad and mini naans (from simply cook box)
-Crispy chilli beef and rice (simply cook)
-Chicken and chorizo paella
-Sweet chilli chicken noodle salad
-Gammon, sweet potato wedges, poached eggs, grilled tomato and peas
-Chilli nachos (salad in place of nachos for me)
-Smoked haddock with a cream chive sauce, new potatoes and green beans and spinach

Tesco do a free from pesto that I buy for my dd, it’s pretty good.

Stealing some ideas from this thread, I used to be so organised but lost my mojo months ago and need to get back to it.
