With lasagne I would serve…

Family over later. I’ve made a lasagne which I’m sure is big enough but I’m a feeder & like to know everyone has been well fed so now I’m not so sure there’s enough of it!
Any suggestions as to what else I can put on the table so everyone leaves feeling full? I’ve got the usual salad and garlic bread.

Thank you

Peas and carrots.

I'll probably be accused of MN competitive under eating, but that's enough imo.

buttergloss · 06/11/2022 08:41

I always have coleslaw with lasagne

ladywithnomanors · 06/11/2022 08:41

Garlic bread and salad is fine

LakeFlyPie · 06/11/2022 08:41

Green salad

bumblebeessarecool · 06/11/2022 08:42

more salad

BigSandyBalls2015 · 06/11/2022 08:42

I did this last week and made a big greek salad. Add coleslaw as well.

Castaspell · 06/11/2022 08:42

I came to say garlic bread and salad. You could do chips if you felt you needed something else? I don't like them together personally but it seems to be a classic pub accompaniment and my H likes it!

RewildingAmbridge · 06/11/2022 08:42

I think that's plenty

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 06/11/2022 08:42

I was going to say garlic bread and salad , so you're sorted

OnTheRunWithMannyMontana · 06/11/2022 08:43

I don't think anything other than salad and garlic bread is needed?

although DH likes to triple carb and add chips

Witsendwilly · 06/11/2022 08:43

Chips, and jacket potatoes for our family please

WashAsDelicates · 06/11/2022 08:43

Perhaps some plain steamed greens? Makes a nice contrast to rich lasagne and dressed salads. Green beans/broccoli/courgettes?

Palmface · 06/11/2022 08:43

I was going to suggest garlic bread and an Italian salad but you've already got those covered. It'll be enough!

I guess you could do the tomato, mozzarella, basil salad too as a side?

MendaciousMabel · 06/11/2022 08:43

I'd pop some garlic bread and salad in the middle of the table for people to take if they want to

pilates · 06/11/2022 08:43

Garlic bread and salad fine.

Have you got a pudding?

custardbear · 06/11/2022 08:45

Salad and garlic bread, or peas and garlic bread if it's a cold day

MasterPretender · 06/11/2022 08:45

Roasted veg such as red onion, courgette, pepper, beetroot and broccoli.

mondaytosunday · 06/11/2022 08:46

Salad. Nothing fancy - lettuce, tomatoes, cukes , bit of red onion and avocado. The coolness cuts across the richness of the lasagna.

maldivemoment · 06/11/2022 08:46

Reassured. Thank you. 😊

I think a veg-rich lasagne is a meal in itself, but if i had guests i'd serve it with salad and garlic bread, olives.

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 06/11/2022 08:47

Just a green salad, not even garlic bread.

PrescriptionOnlyMedicine · 06/11/2022 08:47

Nice red wine 🍷

maldivemoment · 06/11/2022 08:47

‘cukes’ - love this!

No garlic bread here. Salad only

This is my ‘last supper’ meal. Love lasagne and salad!
