With lasagne I would serve…

Family over later. I’ve made a lasagne which I’m sure is big enough but I’m a feeder & like to know everyone has been well fed so now I’m not so sure there’s enough of it!
Any suggestions as to what else I can put on the table so everyone leaves feeling full? I’ve got the usual salad and garlic bread.

Thank you

garlic bread and salad is fine, do a nice dessert and it will be a lovely meal. What are you serving for dessert (just out of nosey ness)

Salad and garlic bread is fine, if I wanted a bigger meal personally I’d add coleslaw and maybe mozzarella sticks or jalapeño poppers

Salad and garlic bread

gogohmm · 06/11/2022 11:45

I like coleslaw

Do people have chips with pasta ragu/bolognaise as well as lasagne? It just sounds weird, also peas and potatoes. Pasta is a dish on its own for us, I didn’t realise we were so odd!!

Instead of salad, try fresh spinach leaves, put them under the hot lasagne and it wilts them perfectly.

dough balls nice change from garlic bread, too.

I know it's wrong because of all the carbs but I do love lasagne with chips. I think it's the contrast in texture and the usefulness for mopping up sauce.

Love homemade lasagne then DS was born with a dairy allergy and even though he grew out of it he doesn't like milk or cheese so we never have lasagne anymore 🙁. Guess what I'll make the day he leaves for university 😁.

Roast broccoli - you may as well stick another thing in the oven when it's on.

I did exactly this for family last week and had worries over it being enough! So I delighted my DH by adding chips - lasagne, garlic bread, salad and chips what a triple carb treat!! It was all demolished and I was a bit shocked to be honest Grin

Jacket spuds and salad

bellac11 · 06/11/2022 12:01

Buttery green beans and roasted cabbage. No garlic bread

I really am not all food judgy on these kind of threads but....

Jacket potatoes with lasagne???? Really?

elephantseal · 06/11/2022 12:24

Red onion, tomato and basil salad. Garlic bread.

trampoline123 · 06/11/2022 12:27

I like lasagne with salad, or lasagne with chips, or both, oh and garlic bread - garlic bread is key!

Zib · 06/11/2022 12:30

Green salad. Wouldn't do garlic bread as well.

Orange93 · 06/11/2022 12:30

Garlic bread and chips

TheTeddyBears · 06/11/2022 12:31

Salad and garlic bread. I'd maybe also make some chips unless the lasagne portion was large.

GARLIC?BREAD??

It’s the future!

OooohAhhhh · 06/11/2022 12:36

Salad
Or garlic mushrooms
Or a nice garlic flatbread
Or all of above 😋

1fluffydoodle · 06/11/2022 12:37

Some garlic bread, salad, coleslaw and already halved baked potatoes

SwedishEdith · 06/11/2022 12:38

Garlic bread and salad is enough.

Yellowdahlia12 · 06/11/2022 08:40

Peas and carrots.

WHAT!?!

Garlic bread and salad is the only acceptable option. Chips at a real push, but I wouldn't.

QuietYou · 06/11/2022 13:02

I only usually do salad.
Struggling to imagine mash, peas, carrots or jacket potatoes with lasagne.
I don't like garlic bread or chips with it either.
