New thread for sharing Gousto recipes

I enjoyed the last Gousto thread but it seems to have disappeared so thought I would start a new one.
Anyone had a box this week?
I have had the Goan style basa and spinach curry which was really good. Also had the pork with bubble and squeak mash and the sesame hoisin chicken. All have been lovely so far. Just the Thai red curry to go now which I am looking forward to.

Just made the Mexican ‘pork’ chilli with apple salsa. They sent beef instead of pork, but it’s really tasty!

We've just had the creamy Haddock and potato casserole. I had some sweet potatoes to use up so had these in the oven all afternoon until they were soft then added them to this dish. It was soooo good. My DS has devoured his 👏🏼

Nah I didn’t - it ended up being less calories than the pork version, and it still worked. I’d feel a bit bad complaining when it didn’t really impact me hugely. If it was something I couldn’t eat, I’d feel differently!
tonight is the buffalo chicken burger. Already it’s feeling like too much effort!

I seem to be getting ingredients replaced with every box I get just recently. This week they are sending mint instead of coriander for a Brazilian style chicken & coriander curry. I am not sure the mint will work as well!

I got an email saying they’d swapped coriander for mint (I hate mint) but when I looked, they’d actually sent coriander.

The Burger was good, but a bit of a faff to make. I don’t know why but I can never get the chips to come out like they do, they are always a bit flaccid and rubbish.

Im not wowed by the menu that’s gone up today so probably be having a few weeks off it again!

Oh I hope I get the coriander instead of mint…mint doesn’t go with curry!

I wasn’t wowed by the new menu that went up today either so will skip that week. I have ordered for the week before though as liked the look of the chicken laksa and the curried chicken kati rolls.

We had the bacon and tomorrow amatriciana sauce (pasta pronto) this evening.
Almost inedible due to extreme saltiness. Really disappointing.

I think we had that bacon and tomato pasta pronto dish a few weeks back. Was expecting it to be good as reviews looked promising but we weren’t overly impressed and wouldn’t order again.

@dizzyupthegirl86 I never make the chips/wedges/roast potatoes as per their recipe. I just do them as I've always made them, so steam the potatoes first then oven cook them on a high heat (sprayed with a bit of oil) or air fry.
@poshme that's a shame about the pasta. Is it the bacon that made it salty or did the recipe state to add salt?

We had the Mexican sweet potato and corn broth last night (from last weeks box). It was nice, very cumin heavy and I dislike the smell of cumin really, but eating it was ok. DH said it was nice.
Tonight I'm having the hoisin sesame chicken and wedges.

@florenceandthemac I didn't add any salt- was just from the bacon.

Me too, as long as I don't follow their rice cooking instructions 😑

I got £6 credit last week as they sent me beef mince instead of lamb, which is not the same thing. I also got the mint sub for coriander - again, not the same thing at all and changes the taste of the meal. I always use the App to report things that are wrong - sometimes have to speak to a person, sometimes it's automated, it was with the mince.

All really good - the pulled pork one was a bit of a faff and labour intense. Nice but not sure I could be bothered with that often. Loved the roast lamb hash (though they sent me beef...) and the aubergine tagine was delicious!

We’ve got the schwarmas this week. Can you say what the honey baked Greek dish is like when you’ve tried it as I’ve pondered over ordering that one before.

The sticky chilli pork is gorgeous. It's the only one I've had twice so far. I had it last night
