DH made a fantastic beef lasagne. It was bloody gorgeous!

I did venison meatballs, mash & carrot, broccoli & peas. With onion gravy. Clean plates all round.

Wine.

It was supposed to be this lovely sausage pasta but we ended up having (veggie) sausages, beans and oven chips because we were knackered. It hit the spot!

I was very last tonight, so we had pepperoni pizza fries 😋

The dcs had leftover Chinese takeaway from ds1's birthday treat yesterday (that's as good as a birthday treat gets when your birthday is on a Monday in the middle of mocks).
Dh and I couldn't be bothered with much so we had falafel, pitta breads, hummus and salad. Quick and easy.

Thanks for the thread. . It is lovely to see an actual mix of meals people have had, one at a time, rather than just lists of wannaeats, the "posh" stuff or "beige" stuff you get when the question is asked differently. A good mix.

Is giving lots of ideas for quick meals and different, interesting things I wouldn't normally have.

Tonight we are having the French dish Tartiflette as i lived in France for a while!

It's delicious and really quick and easy!
Also getting salmon out of freezer ready for tomorrow night, normally just grill it with a bit of soy and sweet chilli sauce and serve with stir fry but want to do something a bit different, ideas welcome!

Not sure here, it could be one of my freezer stash ready meals, I think there's a Middle Eastern beef and bean stew, lentil curry or chilli.

I must have a freezer cooking session soon, haven't done it for ages.

Toasted cheese sandwich for me.
Pasta with salmon and cream sauce for DH.

I get fed up with 'formal, proper' meals every evening and like to have an easy meal every few nights. DH cooks his own.

OK, I've looked in the freezer now and dinner will be cod loin, Waitrose frozen mashed potatoes and one of those steam packets of mixed veg with extra frozen peas 😂. Did I say that I hadn't got any fresh vegetables left. Freedom day tomorrow.

Tacos here. But with the soft boat type shells rather than crispy ones. Served with the usual spinach, avocado, sour cream / greek yogurt and grated cheese etc. Normally Wednesday is rushing out the door to clubs night but we have covid in the house so no going out tonight I'm secretly a bit happy!

Sweet potato, cauliflower, green bean and cashew spicey biryani with mint raita and probably some poppadoms and mango chutney.

Sausage and stuffing parcels with mash, carrots and red cabbage - fancied just beans and mash with it but thought it would've been a weird combo

Chicken and mushroom risotto with roasted butternut and beetroot, plus kale and spinach with garlic for the greens!

A pre bought steak pie for me tonight! Though love a curry too - check out the recipes at www.spicepots.com

Tomato fennel pasta or gnocci with sausages kale in it

Just coming to the end of The Worst Cold Ever and haven't slept properly in over a week due to the endless coughing. DH is out tonight. So DC and I are having battered fish/fishless fillets and chips from the freezer.

Dcs are having spagetti and meatballs (one of those chiller cabinet ones for toddlers.) Plus tinned sweet corn and peas.

I am having chicken kiev, sweetcorn, peas and sweet potato mash.

Beef brisket casserole left over from a couple of nights ago, which we will have with a cauliflower/broccoli cheese and easy roast potatoes (basically just chopped into biggish cubes, drizzled with plenty of oil and herbs, and popped into the oven).
