Can't believe I've never tried this before! It's lovely and doesn't taste dairy free (it's the creamy garlic and herb). What vegan foods do you all love Smile

Thanks for the link Tell I have a cup of the stuff to use. It's me the op Grin. I've made some veg and lentil burgers for tea (boiled up red lentils) then fried grated carrot, spring onions, mushrooms, sweetcorn and chickpeas with parsley. Well seasoned then shaped with flour, will post a picture later. The children will have with cheese, fresh bread, houmous and chips. Me houmous, bread and watercress.
Also just found out how easy it is to make honeycomb Shock. I'm planning on making some and coating with dark chocolate at some point this week.

My relative has just gone vegan and tried to make a cheese and tomato toastie for her brekkie but the vegan cheese wouldn't melt and she had to go with a smoothie instead! Would the Sheese work or is there a better vegan option if you want cheese on toast vegan style?

You can buy grated cheese that says on label suitable for pizza/melting?
For the life of me I can't remember which brand(hopefully someone upthread will hop in and know)

Sainsbury's have a grated cheddar style vegan cheese. Not tried it, but assume that would melt.

Sheese does go quite gooey, for what it's worth. Had it in a quesadilla style concoction the other day.

Otherwise Holland and Barrett do a melting pizza cheese. Think it might be cheezly.

I found you! I've been searching all day as it dropped off my I'm on list

I tried the quorn vegan fish fingers today, they were nice. They smell of real fish fingers when they are cooking, but I couldn't say how close the taste is because I don't remember the taste of real ones. I will definitely have them again Smile

I'm eyeing up the vegan Pizza on abel and Cole, and wondering whether to go for it

I have a problem, I've found a new vegan treat and I'm afraid I'm going to put on 3 stone in the space of a week!

Should I save you all from it by eating them all or do you want to put yourselves in danger Grin

Don't say I didn't warn you Wink

I went to visit a friend yesterday and she is really good about getting or making things that I can have, she gave me this pack (always does just incase there is any reason I can't have them that she might have missed). I swear she swapped them in the kitchen though, because they do not seem vegan! They are amazing! She said she got them from the supermarket but I can't remember which one, we have a Morrisons and sainsburys close by though so I would assume one of those two. She said she thinks they had other similar ones but will have a look next time she is there

Just double checked the pack (I brought the rest home) and it is the same as the picture but says vegan after (free from) hydrogenated fats, so I'm not sure if the old ones weren't, so double check in store if you buy them as they may have older stock

Oh yes Smurfy!! I have those in my cupboard right now, they're THE BEST.

They're certainly available in Waitrose & Sainsburys.

Other flavours by the same brand are: chocolate tiffin, ginger tiffin, mint tiffin, orange tiffin, caramel crispies, millionaires shortbread.

IMHO the rocky road and orange tiffin are the best.

All of them have always been vegan to my knowledge.

I think I need a trip to sainsburys, are they all as moreish as the rocky roads? I will go for Orange tiffin on your recommendation

I'd say the orange ones are just as Nice if you love orange chocolate. They can be hard to find though, so if I were you I'd buy one of each kind they have in stock to try them out Smile

This is a really helpful thread - I am currently pescetarian but have gone milk free this week, still eating eggs and fish at the mo but aspiring to be vegan! Currently sampling all the different milks. So great to see there are so many treats and convenience foods available - as much as I would like to, I'm pretty lazy and won't be cooking from scratch every day!

Not read all the pages yet so sorry if it's already been mentioned but Tesco have various alpro things on 2 for £2 at the moment. (Our huge Tesco does anyway).

Interested in the subscription tuck boxes and nutcrafter cheeses - got some ideas for my birthday now!
