Can't believe I've never tried this before! It's lovely and doesn't taste dairy free (it's the creamy garlic and herb). What vegan foods do you all love Smile

I have cooked /experimented with aquafaba ( chickpea brine). Here is a pic of a vegan lemon meringue. I have tried with varying success with other dishes , cannot conquer marshmallow yet (very nearly). Its' uses seems to be endless. Definitely, have a play with it , though. It is literally the waste from a can of chickpeas, so what have you got to lose :0)

Slimmingsnake · 18/02/2017 22:17

Little Londoner,Tesco do that range in those snacks...low cal and the tomatoe and garlic flavour are oh my god

Slimmingsnake · 18/02/2017 22:19

Type in easy vegan banana muffins and a fab recipe comes up on the net...I miss out all the sugar and only use half the fat,and add raisins..yum

Littlelondoner · 18/02/2017 22:25

Stilllivinginazoo my corner shop....but every corner shop in london seems to trying to get an organic, vegan, wholefoods corner.

Most supermarkets stock this brand though. Sainsburys tescos waitrose for sure.

Also does anyone else aldi now have a wholefoods free from corner? Loads goodies to be had. Including their own brand fake "pulsin" began protein brownie bars and loads other stuff cant remember off top head.

I rarely buy jars or anything processed but I always have jar sacla subergine pesto in the cupboard.

Also loving how more things are coconut or almond based as I try to avoid soy.

Littlelondoner · 18/02/2017 22:27

Aubergine pesto even...urgh cant type on phone sorry!

FishlessCake · 18/02/2017 22:37

Well,I could do with some low calorie vegan recipes if anyone has any...I'm found of tofu and love potatoes not keen on pasta or noodles but make them for the kids..and low cal desserts...as I said I've put a stone on since going vegan, and I was half way throu a weight loss program of living of soup....so now I'm eating more..it's going back on....so I need low cal ideas,if anyone has any...I did think of joining sw.but recipes are all eggs and Quorn for green days

Slimmingsnake · 19/02/2017 09:12

Fond,sorry not found

Slimmingsnake · 19/02/2017 09:15

I really really miss proper butter thou on a hot jacket potato,or on cold toast....it's funny but the thought of eating dairy chesse again makes me feel sick as it came from a cow...yet I miss butter...weird...but even when I was vegi a couple of yrs ago I wouldn't of dreamed of eating butter, too many calories...

FishlessCake · 19/02/2017 09:49

I miss cheese and real butter, i think it's perfectly normal. The last meat I ate was kippers fried in butter when I was 10 (I'm now 32) but I can still taste them Confused.

I lost 5 stone after going vegan but I usually only eat one large meal a day. Lentil soup is filling and healthy, also pitta bread with houmous, falafel and lots of watercress.

Bean burgers and sweet potato wedges spray frylight and herbs/spices and salad popular here

Lentil shepherds pie using parsnip and sweet potato mash?

We are sad avocado on toast lovers in lack of real butterGrinlil zoo likes avocado and chop tomato toss with pasta and sunflower seeds.mashed into jacket potato instead butter works for us too.and I know quite hi in cals, but full vitamins and decent amount protein for filling growling tummies for longer

FishlessCake · 19/02/2017 11:01

Just made the perfect pancakes. Honestly taste like regular pancakes. I changed the recipe slightly (used 300ml almond milk instead of 300ml water, also added 2 spoons of oil instead of one. Oh and the recipe said the whisk lightly but I put it in the nutribullet). This is them Smile
