I was about 18 at the time - many moons ago now, but since then have been really careful about weighing myself.

willow2 · 20/01/2004 22:37

Hi Twink, just wondered if you got my email re books?

Twink · 20/01/2004 22:44

Not so far, but no one else has asked so I'll put a 'Willow got here first sticker' on them

I know my email address that Mumsnet have is current but Justine has been offline so they might be busier than usual. If I've not heard anything within 24 hours I'll try contacting you.

willow2 · 21/01/2004 12:34

Cheers, my dear!

fairydust · 21/01/2004 19:11

I've been to macdonalds.

I'll say no more

Hi

Just a blatant advert here!

Just wondering if anyone wants to join us on the Mumsnet Mama's Club?

We weigh in on Thursdays - come and have a look if your interested :D

Furball · 21/01/2004 21:29

Fairydust - Me too! I always remember them as being horribly soggy, unfortunately mine wasn't and it was actually hot. I looked it up and it was 24 sins for the Big Mac, which is not that bad?? anyway I've passed the beef off as a healthy extra and I was on a green day so the chips weren't counted only the oil they fry in. Yeah right, we shall see.

Twink · 21/01/2004 22:07

Still no email so I've asked them to email you Willow.

deegward · 22/01/2004 17:05

God I feel crap, I didn't get weighed last night as dh was out (poor excuse), and have been picking all day, (fairy cakes, fudge finger, packet of fruit pastilles, to name but three). Feel struggling to keep target and on a self destruct vibe at the momnent.

Need some encouragement as have lost 2 stone since starting and am at target but can see it slipping

Kayleigh · 22/01/2004 18:21

deegward i know that self destructive feeling so well. Please try not to give into it as you will be so sorry after. Today has just been a blip and you can make it good again. Start again tomorrow.
Good luck - I know how hard it is.

lilibet · 22/01/2004 20:14

Deegward, I have considered starting a whole new thread about food problems, I can't really own up to how much I have eaten over the last week, quite disgusting amounts and I need to understand why I am doing it
I know that I am over weight (about 2 1/2 stones), I know that I don't look as good as I could, I hate catching sight of myself, my health is being damamged, I wear the same boring clothes all the time as I won't buy new and cant fit into the old. So why on earth can't I stick to a sodding diet. I lost 8lb on SW last time, I know it works for me, so what is the difference between me and you lot who really are doing incredibly well?
I'm so fed up of looking and feeling the way that I do, why don't I have it in me to change?

Kayleigh · 24/01/2004 16:55

Where is everybody ?

lilibet · 24/01/2004 17:06

thought I had put them all off!!

Furball · 24/01/2004 21:24

I'm here, but nothing to say. Still plodding along. Have given up writing down sYns, last few days, which I don't think will do me any favours. It's amazing how they can slowly tot up on little things. I don't think I've done anything bad - only having about 7 or 8 aday but you never know I've probably forgotton something sinister. Had a HUGE steak tonight with a handful of sinfree chips (b) scrummy yummy. Didn't bother with any salad, have enough of that the rest of the time!

Kayleigh · 25/01/2004 11:53

Furball, i don't think you can have syn free chips as a b option. The point of potatoes as a b option is to have the skin for fibre, which is why jacket or new pots are allowed.
Although I don't suppose it'll do too much harm once in a while.

fairydust · 25/01/2004 13:47

oh kayleigh things are not good - dd has been really poorly so everythnig has gone out the window.

OP posts:
Kayleigh · 25/01/2004 17:52

oh fairydust, honey. You were doing so well. It would be awful if all that hard work was for nothing.
What's the matter with your dd ?

Furball · 25/01/2004 21:16

Kayleigh - I left the skins on!

Kayleigh · 26/01/2004 08:21

Ooh Furball. What a good idea. Do you just follow the sin free chip recipe but just leave skins on ?

Furball · 26/01/2004 20:47

Kayleigh - Yes, quite scrummy. Also lost another 1 lb this week Whooo hooo!!!

Kayleigh · 27/01/2004 10:11

Well done furball ! That's great. Looks like those chips have paid off !!!
I'm off to get weighed at lunchtime so will let you know. Looks like it's just you and me on here at the moment. Think the others are all still in McDonalds

Kayleigh · 27/01/2004 12:52

I lost 2.5 lbs. Am over the moon after staying same last week. Half a pound next week will mean i've lost half a stne and will also take me down to the next stone as I was xx stone exactly today.

Fairydust, did you go to class yesterday? How's your dd ?

fairydust · 27/01/2004 13:01

didn't make it kayleigh- dd is drugged up on sedatives and i couldn't bare to leave her.

well done by the way

OP posts:
Kayleigh · 27/01/2004 19:16

thanks fairydust, read about your dd's eczema on the other thread. I hope she is feeling much better soon, it must be horrible for you to see her like this.

deegward · 27/01/2004 21:32

I have been having sin free chips as my b choice all along, and hadn't made the connection for fibre. Duh!

Feeling better this week, although went to a Burns Supper black tie do on Friday night so alot of flexible syning going on. Although people I hadn't seen for ages said I looked fab (had had a spray on tan). Still in target so sticking with it!

Take care all
