Kayleigh · 07/01/2004 21:46

me too fairydust. It's so easy to get stuck in a rut with the same couple of dozen dishes. it's no wonder we stray I have been looking through my old magazines tonight for inspiration !

will post when i find something cheap, easy to make, that uses ingredients you've already got in your cupboard and that tastes delicious !!

lilibet · 07/01/2004 21:48

Hello all, I'm starting again from Saturday after my 5 days on the Cabbage soup. Kayleigh, my email is up and running gain so I should be able to return your magazines soon.

Kayleigh · 07/01/2004 21:53

Will be good to have you with us again lillibet. We'll do it this time
No rush with the magazines - whenever.

How smelly are you after all that cabbage ?!

Crunchie · 08/01/2004 10:18

As I thought, no weight loss!! However I am not too pissed off, overall I put on 1lb over the whole xmas time I am switching weigh in days to Monday's so I only have 5 days to make a difference, hopefully will get at least 1lb off if I stick to cabbage soup until the weekend.

Sounds gross but I think I had put weight on, but then had a dodgy tum the day beofr string cabbage soup, so when I weighed in for this I had already lost some - if that makes sense!!

Pacific · 08/01/2004 10:41

Can I join in too? I went to SW last night and had put on 5 of the 10lbs I had lost up to last November.
However I have stones and stones to lose and I am not going to admit how much!

Kayleigh · 08/01/2004 11:07

Pacific, of course you can. Welcome !

Crunchie. Shame. I'm sure it'll come off next week.

fairydust · 08/01/2004 16:06

Kayleigh · 08/01/2004 16:28

"hold that feeling" as they say in the US of A, Fairydust

I had a jacket and beans for lunch too. Didn't fancy just a salad in this weather. Am pleasing myself tonight as dh is in late so will probably have a bit of spaghetti with a blob of ketchup and grated cheddar. Mmmm my fave !

What have you lot got planned for tonight ?

Crunchie · 08/01/2004 17:20

cabbage soup and natural yogurt, with maybe a banana thrown in for good measure! Yummy

lilibet · 08/01/2004 18:06

Crunchie - snap!!!

fairydust · 08/01/2004 21:07

OP posts:
Kayleigh · 09/01/2004 16:47

fairydust, you are doing great.

I had a poached egg with ham and tomato for breakfast.
Lunch was cold chicken & salad plus a pear
Just had a snack of 2 x babybel cheeses as was watching kids stuff choccie biscuits and needed to eat something !
Tonight am having steak, jacket pot & veg.

Am saving my sins for a bit of chocolate in front of the telly tonight. Mmmmmmmmm.
What do you all save your sins for ?

fairydust · 09/01/2004 17:10

well done Kayleigh you're doing really well.

Well i normal have them on sauces etc - this week they have gone on silly things that i hadn't realised the syn value had changed.

But i am having a little tipple 2-nite i think -

vodka and rasberryade sugar free

OP posts:
lilibet · 09/01/2004 17:16

joining you tomorrow after 5 days on cabbage soup. Green days have never seemed so appealing!

Kayleigh · 09/01/2004 19:55

Mmmm that vodka drink sounds nice fairydust.
I have a dilemma now as dh has just come in with my favourite bottle of red.
So do i go for the wine or the chocolate.....?

Oooh lilibet, I don't know how you could stick to it for 5 days. I'm amazed at your willpower.

lilibet · 09/01/2004 21:20

it's not that bad actually, you just wee a lot and get loads of wind, but I hve lost 1lb per day , so its a good kick start. I need to loose a steady 1lb per week now till the end of May and I will be near target. Going to a wedding in July so I want to look good as dp is best man.
1lb a week sounds so easy doesn't it, but I know better!

Kayleigh · 10/01/2004 19:36

1lb a week is an achievable target, but we all know it's easier said than done. But if you are really good and stick to s/w there is no reason you shouldn't do it. And at least you know if you stray you can always go back to the cabbage soup !
