The worst movie you have ever seen in the Cinema

What is the worst film / most crappiest experience you've ever had in a cinema ?

I'll start. I remember watching the zodiac. I was immature and didn't really understand it-- but it was the most boring film I've ever seen in the cinema.

A few years later I watched Never Let me go. The atmosphere at the end was highly depressive

The Road. Not because it's a crap film. But it was a Saturday night and I left feeling utterly depressed.

@BellaChagall

The Revenant. Hours and hours of Leo Di Caprio grunting.

Eat, Pray, love. Utter shite.

I cringed - seriously, actually physically cringed - through most of Eat, Pray, Love. Although I saw it at home, not the cinema, and blame myself for not just turning it off.

I sat through The Hours as my friend wanted to see it. She liked it but I would have preferred to watch the grass grow, I found it so boring.

Thinking about it, most of the films I went to with her that she chose were terrible to me.

I've never told her that though. Grin

See I didn't mind The Revenant and I watched Eat, Pray Love when I was holed up for 6 weeks with a broken leg, so I suppose any distraction was good!
Wolf1970 · 07/01/2022 18:52

Young Einstein, saw it at the Barbican (with my then boyfriend an absolute shit). The film was the most boring load of coma inducing drivel I have ever seen.

BadgeronaMoped · 07/01/2022 18:53

Pirates of the Caribbean, it felt like it was never going to end, I hated it so much!

Hellocatshome · 07/01/2022 18:53

Snakes on a Plane, what made it worse was we were killing time in Leicester Square and it cost us an absolute fortune!!!

TowandaForever · 07/01/2022 18:54

@CatherineCawood

Time Cop with Sylvester Stallone. Utter bollocks.
Isn't that van damme?
CarpeDiem83 · 07/01/2022 18:54

Seven years in Tibet. Was my first ever 'date' as a 13 year old and there was nothing else on neither of us hadn't seen before. Ended up sitting in the front row and was totally bored all the way through. Not even Brad Pitt could save it.

Needless to say, there was no second date.

Dozycuntlaters · 07/01/2022 18:55

A few terrible ones I've seen are...

Blairwitch Project.... made me feel sick with the handheld camera

Vanilla Sky, I have no idea what was going on

Natural born killers, would have left if I'd been driving.

Eat Pray Love was one of the worst books I've ever read in my life. I only finished it because a friend I love very much recommended it. Utter tosh
HandlebarLadyTash · 07/01/2022 18:55

Show girls utter pap

Crepuscularshadows · 07/01/2022 18:57

Dude, where's my car? Saw it in the empire in Leicester Square so it cost a fortune. Had an extreme hangover but even perky it would have been the worst film ever. Even the disco ceiling in the cinema couldn't save it.

Makes Bruno look good. Watched that in Leicester Square too. Unmitigated shite, but still better than dude where's my car.

I came on here to say exactly the same thing about that wretched movie!

imnotacelebritygetmeoutofhere · 07/01/2022 18:57

The Kevin Costner JFK film back in the 90s(00s?). God it was awful and boring, and it went on and on for hours.

clopper · 07/01/2022 18:58

Pokemon the first movie, obviously not my choice. So many years ago but still up there at the top of my list. It was hard to stay awake. It’s probably a cult movie or something now.

FoamyBanana · 07/01/2022 18:59

The Beach. I loved the book and was raging at what a bad job they did.

Notthisnotthat · 07/01/2022 18:59

Traffic, I fell asleep.

Cats, I fell asleep but at least I was in the recliner seats at the Odeon Luxe

RobinPenguins · 07/01/2022 19:01

In the Cut with Meg Ryan & Mark Ruffalo. I can genuinely remember nothing about the plot, all I recall is that I fell asleep through boredom.

DrJakes · 07/01/2022 19:02

Nativity 3 - even my 8 year old wanted to leave before the end.

LittleBirdBlu · 07/01/2022 19:03

Sex and the City 2, such a let down after the 1st one which was great

FunkyPhantom · 07/01/2022 19:06

Land of the Lost with Will Ferrell and Anna Friel, absolute bag of steaming turd !!
The kids wanted to see it as it had the bloke who was Elf in, so I treated the little cherubs and took them.......sent them to bed early though after making me sit through that drivel !!

Holothane · 07/01/2022 19:06

Colour of money Tom cruise film bored me rigid (35 years ago now)
Ted hated it
Some film h wanted to see with billy Collony in an old peoples home for musicians I wasn’t interested
Thank god I refused to watch film about miles Davis’s, at pictures I refuse to watch any musical documentary at the cinema because I know I’ll be bored shirtless watched the miles thing at home yes bored stiff.

Drywhitefruitycidergin · 07/01/2022 19:07

Buena Vista Social Club - it was the only Cine-Original film on a very wet day in Stuttgart. We should've just gone to the pub.
Blair Witch Project - fairly shot film with the added bonus when I saw it in Switzerland of subtitles in French,German &Italian covering half the screen AND an interval. In a film where the build up of tension is about all it's got - not ideal.

MotherNaturesSon · 07/01/2022 19:07
  1. Just a CGI fantasy mess
