What is the worst film / most crappiest experience you've ever had in a cinema ?

I'll start. I remember watching the zodiac. I was immature and didn't really understand it-- but it was the most boring film I've ever seen in the cinema.

A few years later I watched Never Let me go. The atmosphere at the end was highly depressive

Hereditary. So bad everyone in the cinema burst out laughing at the end.

@SocksAndTheCity I hope you managed to recover from your ordeal Grin

Itchylegs · 09/01/2022 23:07

Superman meets Batman film. Had to look up Wiki in cinema to try to work out what the hell was going on.

caringcarer · 10/01/2022 01:14

Kill Bill. I stupidly agreed to go with at the time new partner, now DH, because he had been with me to a few chic flicks. I hated it. Then I found out not only was it terrible but there was a part 2 as well. Never go to Tarentino films again.

DustyMaiden · 10/01/2022 01:23

The hills have eyes. It was the B movie, when such things existed. A man bit the head off of a budgie. I felt sick and left.

Gingernaut · 10/01/2022 01:25

Godfather III
Ghostbusters - the all female 2016 reboot

LuckyMeISeeGhosts · 10/01/2022 01:26

One of the Avengers films. I was invited along with friends, so thought I'd give it a go.

I was bored shitless. So bored that I couldn't even tell you which film it was. Or anything that happened.

Just God awful (imo).

StoatMilk · 10/01/2022 01:38

‘A Nightmare Before Christmas’ people were walking out.

That wasn’t the 1998 one with Sean Connery dressed as a giant teddy bear was it?

Saw that in the cinema and it was just bizarre. I think I’d blanked it out until tonight.

LuckyMeISeeGhosts · 10/01/2022 01:54

@BachAndByte

Oh no, it was definitely one of the more recent films!

Probably an unpopular opinion haha, but I just didn't have a clue what was going on 🤣

Was it Eternals, with Angelina Jolie? I generally love Marvel but one was utterly dreadful. I kept waiting for something to happen and the acting to improve but it never did.

I had an unlucky time watching the first Matrix film. I nipped for a wee just before Morpheus explained the red and blue pill. I sat back down and did not understand the rest of the film. Confused
I enjoyed it eventually on a rewatch.

Rivermonsters · 11/01/2022 20:38

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. I’ve had better bowl movements than that film

BigSandyBalls2015 · 12/01/2022 10:13

In the Heights .... me and DD walked out, diabolical. It reminded both of us of Elf when he's in the shower "I'm singing ....".

YouLando · 14/01/2022 13:10

Eyes Wide Shut. What a pile of cack.

Also The Running Man, starring Arnie. Saw it with my University house-mates, and one girl thought it was the best film she'd ever seen Confused

YouLando · 14/01/2022 13:14

Forgot about The Phantom Menace. DH and I were so exited to see it at a late-night showing in Leicester Square. God, what a disappointment. No wonder Tim in 'Spaced' was so angry with George Lucas...

MenopauseSucks · 14/01/2022 13:32

The entire cinema laughed through 'The Blair Witch Project'.
To be fair, it was a midnight showing on a Saturday night so most people were mildly drunk....

I walked out of 'The Girl on the Train'.

QuizzicalEyebrows · 15/01/2022 15:14

Absolute Beginner with Patsy Kensit

It was dire plus I got chewing gum on my nice white jeans Hmm

JulesJules · 16/01/2022 21:19

Absolute Beginners. I loved the books so much, and the film was a total travesty

Ditto Eyes Wide Shut. The. Worst. Film. Ever.
lightisnotwhite · 18/01/2022 23:08

How is it? Nicely shot, interesting premise. Certainly not the worse film ever.
Maid in Manhattan is much worse. Or Blair ( Bluh) Witch Project. Films that are pap or films which market themselves as something when they aren’t are a billionity times worse.

madamceladon · 18/01/2022 23:18

A late nineties "comedy" called something like Shooting fish. Just v unfunny and lame so teenage me and mate walked out

Texas chainsaw massacre- when I was a teenager also. I want to try again now!

I wanted to walk out of a Tina fey thing called house party I think it was. Just unfunny but was there with two friends who were loving it

Toddlerteaplease · 20/01/2022 15:32

My own private Idaho. My friend took me to see it and it's her favourite film. It's awful. No story line. I was bored to death!

Pootle40 · 20/01/2022 15:35

Hated Batman Returns and Vanilla Sky. Hate Mulholland Drive too.

Loved Zodiac though !

Pootle40 · 20/01/2022 15:36

@imnotacelebritygetmeoutofhere

The Kevin Costner JFK film back in the 90s(00s?). God it was awful and boring, and it went on and on for hours.
Eek loved that one too
